getting your ears pierced

I think I'm gonna go get my ears pierced today. Meena says there's a study that shows women who wear earrings are found more attractive. I wanna be found more attractive. Who doesn't?

3 of my friends, Rie, Elyse and Derrick are accompanying me to the mall to get it done. I actually had my ears pierced when I was 10 for a short while, but I never wore earrings so my holes closed. You can still feel the little bump that's left on the back of my earlobe. My aunty took me to get my ears pierced. My mom was SO mad after she found out I had them done.

How old were you when you got your ears pierced? If you had a daughter, would you pierce her ears as a baby? At what age would you let her get her ears pierced?

i think i got my first ones
when i was a baby. then
i did that totally cheap
trashy multiple piercings in
each lobe when i was 5th
or 6th grade. i think at one
point i had up to 8 holes in
each ear. then i got a triangle
piercing.

right now i only have one
piercing on each lobe. all
the other holes closed up
fine.

i heard it hurts when they pierce it
at the same place where the little
bump is.
augh.

my parents were really against
me getting my ears pierced
but when i was old enough i had it
done anyway.
i forgot how many times i had it pierced.

i have three in one ear
and one in the other ear.
i hardly wear earrings though.

but i won't have my daughter's ears
pierced when she's just a baby.
it should be up to her.

what's a triangle piercing?

You had 8 in each ear, and all the unused ones closed up? I thought cartilage piercings were permanent - or do you just have big ol' Buddha-sized earlobes?

amie, got my ears pierced last december, also had them done when I was a kid and since I was allergic to some earrings, I let them close up. Got them redone... it didn't hurt that much, and actually hurt more about a half hour after then actually getting them done. Getting them done itself was just like getting bitten by little bugs, not too bad...

Later, the lobes just burn a little bit, and feel flushed. Stops feeling tender after about a day. Just make sure to clean it every day.

i originally didn't want my ears pierced, but i finally decided to get them done in the 1st grade. i got it done at the mall too. unfortunately, my cousin got her ears pierced with a needle by my grandmother. lol. then, my grandmother put these little sticks found in garlic in the holes. it looked really painful.

That makes sense, because I've found I look a lot better with earrings. They make such a difference.

I don't have my ears pierced. I think I would look weird with them pierced. Well, having the lobes pierced anyway. Not so much if the cartilage was pierced. Haha. I remember when I wanted to get many piercings on my ears, just all along the cartilage. I think it looks okay, but not like I would want all those earrings in all the time. I'm still debating whether I should get them done. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be getting other piercings elsewhere before I get my ears pierced.

My mom wouldn't let me until I was 10. And then when I was 10, I decided I didn't like the way it looks. Haven't changed my mind since, but I do like those huge hoops.
