I have always like both the Giants and the Dodgers. Have never understood the rivalry. They both had players that I've liked, so I've liked to see either at the top of the National League West.

Is there any cure for this?

That's like liking both the Yankees and Redsox, or both Yomiuri Giants and Hanshin Tigers, or Redskins and Cowboys....

Or Korea and Japan...

I like Dodgers and Giants.

In soccer, I like Japan, Korea Republic, and PRC!

:)

Yomiuri Kyojin can burn in fucking hell! Hanshin rules all! I wear my Tigers hat everywhere I go. (Tora x 3!!)

You must be happy then that Hanshin is currently in first place, and leading the SE RIIGU by a good 10 games...

When I visited Japan back in the 70's as a kid, traveling with my mom, I liked watching the Giants and the Tigers on TV, although we lived closer to Hanshin stadiun.

Dodgers have 3 Asians (Nomo, Ishii, Roberts) on their team, 4 if Chen is called up again.

Giants have none.

That's one reason that I like the Dodgers. Giants probably had as many in the past.

The other reason is that the NBC game of the week seemed to always feature Cey, Lopes, Russell, and Garvey.

I can remember Happy Hooten and Don Sutton, as well.

The Dodger's blue and whites were way cooler than the Giants' black and orange.

Re: Is it reasonable to like the Giants and Dodgers?

Sad to see that Nomo has done so poorly against the Giants during his last two outings.

Of course I want him to lose, but by a more respectable earned runs per game.

I like the Giants, Dodger, and the Yankees, actually.

But don't care for the Mets, because when I'm listening to the play-by-play when the Giants are over there, inevitably a plane rolls by and you missed the play by play.

Yep.

Was sitting there watching Gagne pitch the Giants' ninth.

I, simultaneously, cringed at his ability to make the Giants chase the off speed pitches, and then marveled at how much he could vary speed and location.

Simply sucky and marvelous both at once.

Oh well. It makes it easy to hate you since they're my two least-favorite teams, barring the Yankees.
