UnitedChris81 is on a distinguished road.
Korean BBQ is one of the best things to ever exist second only to kung fu movies. God bless Korean BBQ, and any other BBQ for that matter. Where would we be without all that char-broiled marinated heaven....mmmmmmmm

I like practically anything Korean.

But my favorites are Samgyupsal, dwaenjangjigae, taegutang, ddukmandoguk, and yukkaejang.

if you've ever eaten at a korean BBQ place where you cook the food yourself, you may or may not have noticed if the fire was gas or charcoal. can you taste the difference? i know the charcoal grill adds flavor and makes the meat taste more authentic and BBQ-ish. =)

there was an episode on Frasier in which Niles complains about having to spend so much money on dry cleaning his expensive suit after eating Korean BBQ.

my doggies go crazy when I come home from a korean restaurant where they BBQ.

See, all the Korean drycleaners are in league with the Kalbijip (BBQ Restaurants). It's a conspiracy.

I had Korean BBQ when I was young, but that was a long time ago, I think I'll have to revisit one just to see what all the talks about. Hmmm, any recomendations for the NY metro area?

Oooo yeah, there are many good korean restaurants in the ny city area... you should try Kum Gang San... its cool cuz when you go upstairs... they cook the bbq right at your table... and than theres the Kang Suh Restaurant... and yeah, Empire Korea is a good place to go to also... they serve buffet style...

korean bbq in HK (at shatin new town plaza), less than $10 US, all you can eat and all the drinks you want. mmm ... too bad it doesn't include beer.

Try Kang Suh on 32nd and Broadway in Korean Town.

They're known for bulgogi and kalbi.

Heh what Tapestrybabe said.

There's another big one on Nothern Blvd in Flushing, Queens with the pond and the eating area outside. Forogt the name it's pretty good, too.
