No, you mean sucks for us. This guy deserves no pity. Despite the fact that he's fucked up Iraq beyond belief and wasted billions upon billions of taxpayer dollers to the detriment of every American citizen, I'm sure he has no problems sleeping at night. He certainly doesn't have any qualms about taking numerous month long vacations while the country is crumbling around him. Even if he has a 10% approval rating and the American death toll in Iraq reaches 10,000 by the time his term is over, he'll be all smiles knowing that he got his tax cuts through.

well yes, but that was the case already the moment he was reelected. i think most of us on this board felt a wave of anger/depression when he was reelected. i grant that bush is not the smartest person, but he's a politician. i'd be pretty surprised if he didn't know his star was falling. presidents in 2nd terms strive to leave a legacy and surely he knows his legacy at the moment would look mighty awful. when he looks back in a few decades to see what he's done to america during his term i think he'll despair.

If you ask me, unless he makes some radical policy changes, his legacy is going to be that he was one of the worst things to ever happen to this country.
