College Project

I'm taking an Asian Studies class and part of a project I am doing is to ask Asian-American high school students some questions on how being Asian-American has impacted their lives academically and personally. I am wondering from an administrator or moderator if it is ok for me to post my questions here in this forum. The only personal information I would ask for is age, gender, and what ethnic background such as Chinese-American, Korean-American, Thai-American, etc. Let me know if I have permission to post the questions for my project.
Thank You Very Much

Re: College Project

Here it goes:
These questions are meant for anyone who is currently attending grade school in the United States. I appreciate any feedback and responses I get. Thank you in advance.

Age:
Gender:
Generation born here:
Ethnic-national background (Chinese-American, Vietnamese American, etc):

1. What does it mean to you to be Asian American?

2. How does being Asian affect you?

3. Does being Asian ever work against you?

4. List some adjectives to describe yourself.

5. Do you find that "Asian" or "Chinese" is one of the first adjectives that you would use to describe yourself?

6. When you think of Asian, who do you think of? Who do you include in that category and why?

7. Does celebrating your Asian-ness keep you trapped as the alien, the outsider, the other, in American society and reinforce stereotypes that non-Asians foist on you?

8. Do you find yourself ever associating with other Asian-Americans from other national backgrounds?

9. Do you view American as a racist country?

10. Can you share a story or two of how your experience with racism has impacted you?

11. What Asian stereotype do you hate the most?

12. Have you ever encountered an Asian being racist to someone else and tell about it?

13. Do you see Asian stereotypes perpetuated by other Asians (different nationalities or same)? What are they and is it ok?
