Re: harry potter and lord of the rings

i like Lord of the Rings more. speaking in terms of true geekiness, Lord of the Rings is better and Harry Potter still seems like kids' stuff what with the magic wands and the broom sticks and the incantations which are really just some Latin words or words that sound like Latin. plus, a lot of today's Fantasy themes are influenced by Lord of the Rings.

Re: harry potter and lord of the rings

Hmm... hard choice...

Harry Potter... the fantasy part's pretty boring compared to LOTR's...
However LOTR's finished... :(

I would reluctantly, but sorta unreluctatly have to go with Harry Potter. LOTR movies make me sleepy, but they're still cool.

If there was the Alex Rider series though, it'd be a different story. Alex Rider would beat stinkin harry and Gandalf combined... too bad I can't afford the books nemore :(
