Gay phenomenon in your city/town
What is the gay population like in your area?
If the community is large enough, does it seem like they try to exert their influence, i.e. trying to convert seemingly straight men to bisexualism? What have been your experiences with gays, bisexuals, and lesbians? Do you get propositioned by a lot of gay men or lesbians, etc? ![]() |

Re: Gay phenomenon in your city/town
All I know is that there are a lot of "down-low" folks here...........I don't know if it's a Birmingham thing or not, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of gay people here on the surface. Not compared to a city like Atlanta, for example. But trust me, they're here. They're definitely in the closet though. Apparently the closet's getting too crowded though cause more and more are coming out all the time.

Re: Gay phenomenon in your city/town
I don't see many gay people in my city. May be they keep a low profile. There are more gay people in big cities.

Re: Gay phenomenon in your city/town
I live in Miami, and I used to live in New York. I also lived in the Bay Area, and hung out in San Francisco a lot. Huge gay population in every city.
I have been hit on couple of times by gay guys. I have no problem with it. After all, they have good taste (sorry, sorry, just joking on the stereotype!) With regard to exerting their influence, I would think that given the gay community is big enough, it is more likely to have a greater representation just like any minority/otherwise marginalized communities. Therefore the gay community is more visible and comfortable in living their lives in the way they want. Also, politically the gay community is more powerful due to numbers. It could be a good thing. When do people feel gay individuals try to "turn" people? They are not like Evangelical Christians... |

I think you would have a problem if you were dancing at a supposedly "straight" nightclub and some gay INDIAN guy tries to grind on your ass (i.e. my "hapa booty"). That was one major WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!? in my life history. QUOTE:

Re: Gay phenomenon in your city/town
Well, there could be more that are in the closet since homosexuality tends to be less accepted in most small communities, however another reason for the low counts is that many of them probably moved to the more gay populated cities to find "mates".
Kind of like me wanting to return to Hawaii Hapa Land! Get with me Hapa Honeyz! |

Re: Gay phenomenon in your city/town
You ever been to Kuala Lumpur? If not, you need to check it out! That place attracts gays from all over Malaysia so they can "hit it". There were so many gay guys at my friend's sports club we pretty much figured they were getting more play at the gym than we were (most of the girls weren't that good apart from a few part-time models).

Re: Gay phenomenon in your city/town
Are you an asshole, or an idiot? Why have you been spamming this and other forums with Homo Lumpur this and Homo Lumpur that? I think I was in fourth grade the last time I heard a guy get off on saying homo so much. I feel like you started this thread just so you could make some more bad homo puns, and really the G&L forum is the absolute last place you should be doing that.
This forum was made to address issues specific to YW's gay population, and to be a place where they can chill out - a "gay water cooler", for lack of a better term. Respect their space, respect their dignity, and quit acting like such a bigoted moron. No one cares that you got hit on by a lot of gay men, nobody thinks it's funny. And if you're criticizing a gay man for humping random ass on the dance floor, I'd have to ask if you and your straight buddies have never done the same to a girl who'd rather be dancing by herself that with you and your puerile crew.

No, me and my straight buddies never tried to hump a random girl in that manner in the ass. Some horndog humping some girl is more of a natural phenomenon than a gay guy humping a straight guy. It should be a gay guy trying to hump another gay guy (who might not necessarily want it?). P.S. You should go to Homo Lumpur, dude! Join a gym there and you'll have all the gay Asian ass you'd ever want. They're hooking up all the time. Whoo hoo! |
