I think I was more upset about him repeatedly calling her a bitch and saying he was going to choke the fuck out of her.

What an abusive piece of shit. I'm all for bathroom humor and non-PC jokes, but that was absolutely verbal abuse and 'choke the eff out of you, bitch' is a threat. I don't think letter writing is enough, he should be brought up on charges. He knew she would only read back scripted items and treat him like a customer and he took advantage of that power.

I wonder if Conair can sue the asswipe for associating the use of their product, name and customer service line with 'bitch' and 'i'm going to choke the eff out of you' and 'dirty rat eater.'

I already emailed Conair to let them know their name, product and call center are being used in for promotional material that includes the words and phrases bitch, dirty rat eater and choke the f out of you. If I don't get a timely response from someone in marketing, I'm writing a snail mail letter to them and/or calling. There was no direct corporate number I could find. CM's good at that sort of thing, maybe he can find it.

I'd write the station but I'm not sure how effective that is since they're trying to build up cred in the shock category. They might not respond to outrage over the abuse, they might even try to use it for further promotion, but you know they'll fold under corporate $$ nut kicking.

edit: found the sales and marketing office and number. office is closed today and you can't leave a voicemail without knowing exactly which extension or person you want to talk to. monday i'll try to get whoever's in charge of marketing the quickbead product.

i've been reading posts from different forums
from people who have received emails from
the station and apparently they're automatic
mass email replies being sent back.
and that seemed to have pissed them off more.

I read from several blogs that the actual on-air incident happened more than a month ago, and this seems to have blown up because the clip was posted to their Internet site. The form letter seems to be apologizing for putting the content on the web, and by taking it down, they believe they have addressed the issue. The problem is that this thing was on-air and reached a huge audience. Star will reach an even bigger audience when his show will be broadcast in NY City this month. Star has made a career out of this type of thing -- he used to be on Hot97 here and did similar things. If you remember the Chinese deliveryman that was lured and killed a few years back, Star said he was probably a "faggot." The ADL took issue with him before he left for another incident. Star has a book coming out soon, as well.

We need to find out the actual air date, and anyone within reasonable distance to their physical broadcasting location should reference the on-air broadcast. Even more importantly, we can lodge a complaint with the FCC for broadcast indecency, but they have no jurisdiction over the Internet. If you know someone who knows the exact day this happened and the approximate hour (I assume it's during the morning show) then we can file a complaint with the FCC which I think would be more effective than anything else right now. You saw what happened when Howard Stern, Opie and Anthony, and other radio personalities became a liability -- they went to satellite.
