Did peopel see the trailer, that wa available a while back? Haihachi gains the demon powers, after an attempt to have in killed. NICE!

Finally played this last night at the mall....the control scheme is a little different, and you can't really sidestep anymore. I played the first time with Hwaroang, the cheap ass button masher, and got through the first few people, then I switched to the new one named Raven, who's actually pretty fast. These new arcade machines are crazy, man...now they take credit cards to boot...I haven't been in there for a minute.

side-stepping is more like in tekken tag. supposedly, a single tap down will make you sidestep -- it's still in the game but the joystick is more sensitive so it's harder to do.

supposedly the joystick is callibrated the way it is in japan...

the tekken 5 cabinet is using the japanese optical san wa sticks not the american stick (switches or happ 360) sticks in the previous tekken arcade cabinets for the US. it takes some getting use to.

heh, saw a dude camping out in the arcade playing this game. he had a lawn chair setup and brought his own controller board which sat on his lap.

yeah allegedly the tekken five at the chinatown fair arcade has ports for your d-pad or MAS sticks.

Why is Tekken getting all the sequels when Soul Calibur (its much more competent, substantial, and better-looking older brother) should be getting more revamp work instead? ^^ From what I've seen, the basic game engine hasn't varied much from the original. Somebody write to Namco.
