Hong Kong Heist
McDermott Plans Hong Kong Heist
Source: Variety Friday, August 20, 2004 Variety reports that 20th Century Fox has hired Dan McDermott to write Hong Kong Heist, an action film about rival gangs drafted by a triad leader to steal three rare gems. The project marks the fourth feature script deal for McDermott since he traded the president post at DreamWorks TV for a typewriter. He got off to a flying start at Fox 2000 with Selling Time, a drama about a man who trades years of his life to go back and fix the worst day of his life. Interest from Will Smith gives that project a shot at getting made, says the trade. He has also made deals at Paramount for The Adventurers Club and at New Line for the thriller Connection.

We're Asian so we're automatically mystics.
This whole Hollywood fecal soup of scripts reminds me of Propellerhead's experience with script writing.
