Re: Dreams

i think they tell you about what you are thinking and feeling and who you are. i don't know about prophetic dreams tho. i do have rather frequent deja vu, usually with things i feel i've seen in dreams.

Re: Dreams

I think they have meaning, although I'm not always sure what. I know many fears manifest themselves in dreams, so dreams can show a person's fears.

But I'm not certain about prophetic ones,. I think some dreams may be.

Like my mom always dreams of fish before one of my siblings is about to have a baby. She never dreams of fish if one of her kids or daughter-in-laws aren't knocked up.

But, iono.

I dreamt that one of my molars fell out last night. Ugh, I hate those dreams. I know what it means.

Re: Dreams

As the old wive's tale goes, isn't it supposed to be death?

I had a dream I lost a tooth a couple of weeks ago and someone I knew died a few days ago.

Hmm.

Re: Dreams

I think a dream is where you mind lets go of all the subconscious thoughts + feelings you have that you either supress during the daytime or just carry over from your waking hours (i.e. having a crush on somebody and thinking about them all day, and then dreaming about them at night).

Re: Dreams

It's either death or loss of someone close to you. That loss can be ... metaphorical or literal you know? It's kind of funny because most of my dreams involve loosing teeth.

Most of my dreams involve girls. Who reject me, laugh at me, etc. in 90% of them.

I've never had one of those teeth dreams that everybody talks about.

Re: Dreams

Dreams about losing teeth usually mean anxiety about growing older. It's very common.

This week's Newsweek features dreams and it says that dreams of sexual experiences is the second most common dream amongst men and women, with 85% of men having had the dream and 73% of women. They add that most dreams that involve sex are about people the dreamer isn't attracted to or a conflict arises.

The top dream on the list is being pursued, but not harmed. The third common one is falling.

Ugh, I hate those dreams where my teeth go crunch. Maybe, we're just pesimistic people?

I have dreams like that too. I will be eating a burger or something and then I'll go in for a bite and be done with it, but my teeth get pulled out with the burger and I'm freaking out. Gross dreams. Don't know what they mean.

Only a select few can impose their will upon their own subconscious like that
