perception that Asian guys only like skinny girls

what's up with the perception that Asian guys only like skinny girls? this is probably true in Asia, where both guys and girls would think you're "fat" if you even slightly bigger than average, but in the US, i've seen plenty of Asian guys with girls that are not what popular media would consider skinny.

i was hanging out with a guy friend and a girl friend tonight (both Asian). the guy friend and i were saying that we don't like girls that are too skinny, and that we like juicy girls. the girl friend was completely surprised because according to her, Asian guys only like skinny girls. maybe my friend and i are the exceptions? i mean, not that we don't like skinny girls, too, but we also both really like juicy girls, and as there is such a thing as "too fat", there is also such a thing as "too skinny". my friend in particular definitely is less attracted to girls that aren't very... "endowed".

Whose perception is that? Is that generally the perception that Asian girls have?

To all the misinformed girls out there, that is not true!

And another misconception that I encounter with the same frequency is that Asian guys only like Asian girls. Although on this one, it usually comes from non-Asians.

Hell no. I like my women to have curves. My friend Mr. Park has a girl who definitely isn't considered fat, but she's got curves and we both agree that skinny asian girls don't do it for us. I really dunno where the perception of skinny girls are more attractive, especially when you're afraid their bones will break under stress from certain *Ahem* activities.

The majority of Asian guys I've seen are slight of build; skinny in other words:P And I also happen to see them paired with skinny girls most of the time. It's a common thing to notice.

maybe i should move this thread to sex & health? because it seems like some of the fellas are jumping in to declare that they like girls with some curves. i kind of wanted to hear what the girls have to say about this perception, but at the same time, it's good to know that i'm not alone in my preference.

except that she's not the first Asian girl from whom i've heard this. other Asian girls have said the same thing.

well then there would need to be a discrepancy of Asian girls becoming bigger at a fast rate than Asian guys are becoming bigger, in order for there to arise a perception that Asian guys only like skinny girls. assuming that both Asian guys and Asian girls are getting bigger at the same rate, then Asian guys wanting someone of similar or small frame wouldn't cause this perception to happen.
