Why Can't Kerry Answer a Yes or No Question?

I'm looking at his interviews and am shocked at how I wasted my time watching Kerry waste 7 minutes answering a question he didn't answer. WTF is he going to do about Iraq? Someone translate his bullshit for me please.

Re: Why Can't Kerry Answer a Yes or No Question?

C'mon now. Practically most politicians can't answer the question. Kerry certainly isn't a surprise.

No. Bush can't answer anything because he keeps forgetting what your question was.

Re: Why Can't Kerry Answer a Yes or No Question?

I despise the man, but Bush is not an idiot. He has an agenda and he knows how to get his way. He just can't think on the spot worth anything.

Re: Why Can't Kerry Answer a Yes or No Question?

The first rule of presidental politics is to never answer a question. I learned that from SNL during the 2000 election. It's called "slipping and sliding."

What is your favorite color?
Kerry: Well I believe in an America where color doesn't matter.
Bush: Uh... Me and vice-president Cheney are in the process of sorting through all the colors to see which one is best for the American people.

One plus one equals two; true or false?
Kerry: What I believe, is what I believe. People's views may differ and we should respect that.
Bush: Umm... you ask some tough question... well... uh... We don't have all the information yet but I am confident that we'll find the answer to that.

Re: Why Can't Kerry Answer a Yes or No Question?

There's also the tactic of responding to questions in such a way that the candidate can get off a prepared response and hope that the listeners have forgotten the original question by the time the candidate is through talking.

Moderator: Senator Kerry, why are you opposed to gay marriage?

Kerry: Let me answer that saying that when I was in Hicksville, Oregon, I met a 42 year old single mother named Sally. She had just lost her job and had 2 little boys to feed. She asked me, "Senator Kerry, when will I find a job?" I was touched. Under my new plan people like Sally will be able to find decent jobs and the elderly will be able to buy affordable prescription drugs...

Mod: You didn't answer my question. Hell you're not anywhere near my question.

Kerry: Let me finish. Under my new plan 5 million... no... 10 million?... yeah that sounds good... 10 million new jobs will be created...

Mod: President Bush, do you believe abortion is permissible in instances of rape or incest?

Bush: To answer your question, we have to keep in mind that we were attacked on September 11th. I mean, Saddam was a bad man. We know he killed his own people. The world is a safer place without him.

Mod: What the hell does that have to do with abortion?

Bush: I think that the American people want a leader who will stand up to these terrorists.

Mod: Forget it. You people are just wasting my time.
