nice. yesterday is one of my favorite songs. lennon much is better.

check your pitch. you go flat at a few places, like at "suddenly" at 0:43. it sounds kinda like you're forcing the vibrato.

and it's kinda nasally in a few spots, like "used to be" at 0:31 and your pitch goes to shit.

gotta watch your pick ups. gotta hit the right keys man.

ehh you have good points
haven't sung in forever
also my mic is really picky about singing too loud/at too high of a pitch so I've had some trouble dropping it down a bit

Well, it was certainly was a different approach to the Beatles song.

Can't be really be critical about it since you didn't link it for our criticism.

I think I do remember more inflection on the Lennon version, though.

This actually was the Boyz II Men acapella version.
Of course I was short 3 voices so I decided just to do the parts of the main singer.

What is about being an "American Idol" that seems so appealing? I wonder.

I notice some stars come up a different route and seem just as much in the spotlight.

Of course, I don't know what Michelle Branch or Avril Lavigne had to go through to get there, but I'm thinking theres probably got to be a simpler way around the gatekeepers of the Idol in order to be successful.
