boycott is on a distinguished road.
Thumbs down

Have you ppl seen Old Navy's Brady Bunch Parody advertisement for their Rugby shirts? Notice the racial makeup of the members in the squares, you have brunette dad, blonde mom, brunette old brother, brunette old sister, black mid brother, Asian mid sister, blonde little brother, and brunette little sister. What happened to Asian brother? Recently they changed the older brother from brunette to latino guy of whom I almost mistook for Asian. What's your take on this ad? I mean it's a parody of the all American family that everyone grew up to enjoy sadly even myself as an Asian, but the blatant omission of any Asian male just hurts. This is the third time, first time was the ad with Lisa Ling as she states "I love my men strong" while she pranced around whites and blacks and Asian males were nowhere to be found. Second time was the George Hamilton commercial, where to his right was an Asian woman and his left a white woman.

I'd rather see asian males in ads for "luxury" brands like Prada, Comme de garcons, Hugo Boss, Gucci, and trendier "urban" brands like Stussy, Samsonite Recon, Head Porter, Triple 5 Soul, than for a two-bit no frills tacky brand like old navy"

As for the ad itself, its tacky, poorly directed, and utterly annoying, signs of a good agency who designed the ad for people like you to remember and constantly think about when you walk by old navy.

Old Navy is going down the drain anyway, they're shutting down a whole lot of stores including the 18.000 sq foot flagship new york store, and the parent company gap just closed down 30% of their stores.

as for lisa ling, she married a chinese guy didnt she?

Lisa Ling? I know that she had somehow snagged Rick Yune, by drugging and/or blackmailing him I assume. Don't tell me they're married?

I'm confused about confusing you. On top of that I don't know what you mean about Rick Yune not being Kaneshiro Takeshi and not being below Kaneshiro's Takeshi's league. They're both hot guys, each is hot in his own way.

you see? it represents society's longstanding efforts to cast asperations on the masculinity of light-haired adult men and the femininity of dark-haired adult women. (Think back. when was the last time you saw a blond guy cast as the hero in a movie, outside of surfer movies? now how many times have you seen a blond guy cast as the incompetent, bumbling villain?)

if i recall correctly (which i probably don't), he uses the same name in either language, ? (Jin1 Cheng2wu3) ...

update: okay I guess the board can't do double-byte chars? the words are jin1 as in jin1rong2 (financial), cheng2 as in cheng2shi4 (city),and wu3 as in wu3shu4 (martial arts)
