Afraid of Attack Dogs?

What would you do if you were walking down the street and you saw a couple of stray Pit Bulls or Rottweilers looking at you and baring their teeth? You know you cannot outrun them and it's said that Pittbulls can climb trees, so forget that. Now what? Should you look them in the eye or not? I forgot how that ploy goes.

I think you are supposed to stand still and avoid looking at the eyes.

Running would make its chase instinct jump in and staring would be like putting up a challenge.

Being the idiot I am, I find it hard to not run, but thankfully, I've never had a bad bite.

I fucking hate dogs. I'm glad that some people eat dogs because it gives me an undeniable sense of satisfaction everytime I think about that.

Here's a true story. When I was a kid (about 6 years old) I got chased by two dogs in the schoolyard early one morning. They eventually had me cornered and I just stood there and cried. Luckily, they didn't bite me. Instead, they just stood there and barked at me for about 2 minutes and left. Dumb dogs....

When I travel to China someday, I'll be sure to order a plate of dogmeat as means of symbolic retribution.

I got chased by some idiot's dog before, while I was on my bike.
It got near enough to that while I tried to bat it away with my hand, it nipped me.
That's when I promptly raised my foot and stomped on it's nose HARD.
It ran away from me.

But I still got that damn scar on my left hand. Dumb dog.

green has this happened to you? seriuosly though if u did get mauled if u survive you're in for some money if u can prove it.

but pitbulls are quick as hell. they'd be eating your shoe before you knew it. and those jaws will make your sneakers into a shriveled piece of nothing. it aint gonna stop the dog from munching on your foot.

Hasn't happened since I was about 11 or 12. Some dog ripped my right pants leg wide open but luckily only nicked my skin. The thing is I really am quite comfortable if humans attacked me but a dog.. I still haven't formulated a strategy yet not even a half decent escape plan. I'd hate to just play it by ear.
