Why do they?

One time I saw a group of FOBs (they appear to be chinese fobs) in a beatup old civic blasting a backstreetboy song, I was like . My korean friend said he lives next to two viet fobs and every morning he wakes up to boy bands, kpop music, jpop music, etc.

Why do fobs listen to girly music?

wow are you serious? All the fobs I know love boy bands (except those fobs who try to act black), i think it stems from asian pop music.

i can only speak for Chinese people, but just take a look at Chinese music. it's full of pop music with mass marketting. that's exactly how boy bands are like.

so there you go. they like boy bands because of mass marketting.

Man I totally agree, you know whats werid... It's ok for FOB females and FOB males to listen to the same type of music (the romantic sobby songs), does that mean gender roles in Asian countries are disappearing, nope. But if your a white male american you can't listen to Backstreetboys without being called a "fag".
