Hi, it's nice, I've noticed alot of people of Korean descent on Reality shows compared with Chinese, Thai, Japanese, or other races. I've seen them on Big Brother, Survivor, The Apprentice, The Amazing Race. Are people of Korean ethnicity more outgoing? Is there just a larger population of Korean people in California? I'm just curious what do you think? Maybe other Asians could learn from them and be more involved.

what does a larger population in california have to do with being on those GREAT reality tv shows? (i don't watch those shows so i'm already a step ahead of anyone who posts back and says all the korean contestants are from california.)

Hi, it's not that all people of Korean descent are from California, let me rephrase, it. I just meant to say this because some of these reality shows are probably based in California like Big Brother or right now The Apprentice in Los Angeles. And being that this is Hollywood, alot of the shows are probably based in California. So I was thinking that there might be alot of people of Korean descent who apply for these shows. Sorry if I made that mistake.

There's a large Korean population in Los Angeles. In fact, that's where KTown is. And perhaps alot of these shows are cast from the LA/hollywood area. Although Yul Kwon was 'recruited' and he's from SF/SJ and the korean apprentice is from Seattle.

I've seen a couple of vietnamese in Fear Factor. (Fear Factor auditions are at Universal Studios) and Dat Phan (from San Diego) in Last Comic Standing and a couple of chinese in Beauty and the Geek.

p.s., what you'll never see is a Korean or any other asian in "The Bachelor" - i can almost guarentee it.
