But in all seriousness, Firearms are tools, just like a kitchen knife, a pot, a pan, or a hammer. They're designed with a purpose, and when they fulfill that purpose, people recoil from them. I do not really know what people expect firearms to do, but when one uses them, most expect anything but a kill.
