Female Depiction in Asian Pop Music
I don't know too much of Asian music (kpop, jpop, cpop) but In the United States and all over the westernized world, females in music videos and mainstream artists have been depicted as sex objects (Britany Spears, Modanna, etc).
Does this still hold true in Asia? I do know there are many teenagers who are pop stars in Asia and one of the main reasons that they get stardom is by their physical appearance. But are they still viewed with the same sex appeal? |
