what is ur favorite macross series

So which is it? The original series? Macross: Do You Remember Love? Macross II? Macross Plus? Macross 7? Macross Dynamite 7?

I've only seen the original series, the movie, the first episode of Macross II and Macross Plus. Do You Remember Love is by far my fave... How do the two Macross 7 series compare?

I think the orginal japanese TV series Super Dimensional Fortress Macross is supperior story and emotional tear jerker wise then even its later series. 1983's macross was created by a young group of now stars. Shoji Kawamori, Mikimoto, Studio Nue. Watch the orginal unedited macross just released by Animeigo, u realize robotech is a dorky story in comparison.

As much as I love and appreciate the original Macross series my favorite would be Macross Plus the Series. By that I mean the Macross Pluss that was divided up into 4 episodes, not the one that got made into the movie. There's only a few scenes difference in em but I love the opening fight in the episode version that they left out in the movie version.

speaking of Macross... I cannot wait for Robotech the game to come out!!!! Even though I'd prob'ly have to play it at AB's since he's got my PS2

I saw previews for Robotech a few months ago and was blown away! If they can capture all of the frenzy of a veritech dogfight I will very very impressed.

except harmony gold the owners of robotech are in a copyright battle w/ Big WEst and they stated they will attempt to block macross Zero's USA release. and they have been trying to block the release of Yamato Macross toys from their distributor sunwards.

In other news, I just purchased myself a reissue Bandai 1/55 scale VF-1S Super Valkyrie. Then I need the original Hikaru VF-1J and maybe the "cannon fodder" brown VF-1A. I'm crossing my fingers that they reissue the Elintseeker and Super Ostrich (since my Ostrich is missing its booster packs...fucking movers jack my shit).

do you remember love is probably my favorite movie of the bunch...even tho its how many years old, the quality of the animation, especially of the combat scenes is still comparable to alot of the stuff thats out there today. i also liked how in ld version of macross plus that shows the "official" macross timeline, it says that dyrl was an actual movie released in the macross universe a few years after the original macross series and that macross 2 was in an alternate universe..

u mean macross 7 yah i didnt like that one it was too hokey. i think they should return to the more militaristic roots of macross TV and movie and plus. And they are MAcross Zero should be less bout singing more bout fighting.

nah i only played sum of the japanese games which mostly sucked big cock.

Do You Remember Love was too short. It was good but everything was squashed.

I think I will get the remastered Macross collection soon.

I'd also vote for Robotech: The New Generation but that's not on here. I just watched it again on DVD the other night. :D They should have had more episodes. Doh.
