Relic Hunter TV series with Tia Carrere

I saw the DVD set, and it was rather entertaining stuff for Saturday afternoon tv. The Copyright said it was made in 2000.

The show was good for 10-14 year olds, but there was a lot of cleavage in that show. Not bad at all. Tia seemed to be in her mid to late 30s. For an older woman, she filled out in the hips but still looks pretty sexy.

The creits showed it was an Asian-influenced production, and it was good to see that much Asian presence in the series.

Re: Relic Hunter TV series with Tia Carrere

Yeah, that was one of the few shows I enjoyed watching in syndication. She made the character have some depth along with the obvious eye candy, though she was technically just an asian Lara Croft.

Re: Relic Hunter TV series with Tia Carrere

I caught parts of it a few time flipping thru the channels during the weekends - it was alright for being a TV rendition of "Raiders" with a female lead.

Btw, did Tia's character ever have an Asian male love interest (somehow, I highly doubt it)?

“Love interest”? Her character didn’t even have an Asian name: Sidney Fox.

So... there aren't AMs named David Williams?

Of course, there are Asian Americans with European names. Just ask Michelle Krusiec and Nichole Bilderback. But my point was: If you are going to build a series around a visibly Asian (in the ethnic sense of the word) actress, why not give her an Asian name as well?

Asian Americans are a part of America. Is that a fact that Hollywood is trying to cover up?

Re: Relic Hunter TV series with Tia Carrere

I watched this and thought it was pretty much one of the worst shows I've ever witnessed.

Re: Relic Hunter TV series with Tia Carrere

^Like how in most roles Lucy Liu takes her character never has an asian name? It's always something basically ambiguously American.

I don’t think any viewers didn’t notice that Tia/Sidney was Asian.

Btw, what does this have to do with not having a single AM love interest?

It shows how Hollywood assimilates AFs into the American fabric, while AMs, otoh, tend to be portrayed as foreigners.

You didn't know??!!!??? Since the beginning of time, Darwinism REQUIRES the assimilation of the well-formed females, and kill or enslave the unattractive females and definitely kill the males......
