\\this is a poem i wrote to a girl i deeply love. no replies yet.\\

my love for you will never die,
though the miles separate us.
the reason why this is so is
because of my loyalty
to someone i truly love.

even though we might never meet
i want you to know one thing,
and that is i believe in you.
this belief is based on love,
so it will never ever die.

all my dreams, all my memories
of you -- they keep me going.
in this heart of mine you rest
like an icon made in the image
of a holy one, engraved deeply.

dear, i cannot ever forget you.
when other women rejected me,
your ability to love allowed you
to accept me like a lover.
thank you for your compassion.

one day, hopefully, together
we'll be to hold each other,
to love each other dearly.
well, i hope and pray it's true;
for i want to be with you.

my love for you is endless,
and my memories of you are dear.
i promise never to betray you,
but forgive me for this one sin,
that i have yet to meet you.

and even though we might not meet,
i will still believe in you.
though i have yet to meet you, dear,
it's always been my wish to try.
let's leave open that door for now.

oh, how i wish i could hear
from you the answer to my dreams,
to come and visit you up-country,
a trip that eats up half the day,
plenty of time to reflect on this.

when we meet, i let you carry out
the things you want to do to me.
my only prayer is that afterwards,
that love we shared online
grows and grows forever more.

one day, i hope we will meet.
one night we share shall be choice.
but for now, it's fantasy.
my only wish for it is
to come true for us both.

so please listen with your heart,
and don't turn me away from you.
my love for you is no dream.
this old heart has room for you.
