qing dynasty emperor's great grand daughter?

1 Attachment(s)
firstly, let me apologize for starting up a new pic thread. i don't mean to but i've been trying to find out who this girl is. supposedly she's the qing emperor's great grand daughter. i don't believe it but i would like to find out for sure. if any mods feel the need to close, go ahead.

her name is apparently:
愛新覺羅貝怡

seems long for a chinese name, but since i can't read but a few words in chinese i can't say it's not her name.

i think the first three characters translates to: "love, dear, learn." if it's her name, it's probably her stage name, b/c it's rare for someone to have "love" as their last name. i'm not too sure about the last three characters (it could be her name). the whole string probably says something like, "lovely co-ed so-and-so"

btw, oh yea, are you getting hooked up with her?? b/c that would be cool to nonchalantly say, "yeah, my g/f is the chinese emporer's great grand daughter."

i don't see why this should be in the Men forum. i'm going to move it to the history forum unless anybody has any objections.

yeah, it prolly belongs here more. i thought about putting this in the history forum earlier but since her pic is the real reason i'm looking this up, i put it in mens.

but no i'm not getting hooked up w/ her. she's some model or other.

i think 愛新覺羅 is her Manchurian family name and 貝怡 is her name itself. 愛新覺羅 happens to be the family name of Manchurian royalty in late Qing dynasty.

愛新覺羅
ai xin jue luo (Mandarin)
ngoi san gok lo (Cantonese)

貝怡
bei yi (Mandarin)
bui yi (Cantonese)

Re: qing dynasty emperor's great grand daughter?

Aixinjuelo (Aisingioro) was the name of the royal family during the Qing dynasty. The first emperor of the Qing dynasty's name was Aixinjuelo Nuerhaci, for example. The last emperor's name was Aixinjuelo Puyi Henry.

The reason why it seems long for a Chinese name is because it's Manchu, not Han.

She's HOT! So much for inbred royalty. They must have gotten an infusion of fresh blood after 1911.

close. the last character of those three characters, by itself, means something like "to feel".

She's probably about as Han'ified as you.

Are any of you related to any famous personages or royalty? I think I have only straight-up farmer/herder background. Except, I'm descended from Yuan Shikai. Sort of embarassing, actually, but it's not my fault.

Yeah, but my grandfather was a general in the Nationalist army, fighting for the people and fighting the Japanese. So I guess that balances things out.
