| Community Forum Guidelines & Terms of Service |
The Yellowworld Forums are a medium for encouraging and engaging in dialogues,
debates and discussions pertaining to Asian Pacific Islander interests and issues
from a broad, multifaceted perspective; therefore, in order to maintain an environment
that engenders the kind of tolerance and acceptance necessary for such discussion,
we require the following of all members:
- Respect your fellow YW members by ensuring your posts are positive, constructive
and on-topic. We will not tolerate personal attacks, insults, rudeness or
inflammatory remarks.
- Administrators and moderators reserve the right to edit or remove posts
that we deem to be offensive. Refrain from any abusive, obscene, vulgar,
slanderous, hateful, threatening, pornographic material or any other content
that may violate any applicable laws.
- Meaningless, nonsensical threads, one-word posts, or multiple posting for
the purpose of increasing your post count is not allowed.
- Spamming and/or trolling either in the forums or by email or private messaging
is expressly prohibited.
- Members are permitted to utilize one login account. Registering multiple
accounts is prohibited.
- Before posting a new thread, please use the Search feature to ensure similar
threads do not already exist. Moderators reserve the right to edit, split,
merge, close or move threads to prevent overlapping discussions, reduce clutter
or any other reason they see fit.
Administrators and moderators are responsible for determining when a post is
in violation of these guidelines and will step in to try and resolve the situation
in a just manner. This may include restrictions not listed here, if deemed necessary
by a majority of the moderating team. If you feel a moderator has been unfair
in their actions, you may discuss the problem with the moderator in question
or private message an administrator. |
| What are user groups? |
A user group is just what it sounds - a group of users! The forums at YW have the following user groups:
- YW Members -- The standard, default member group.
- Preconceptive Slush -- All new registered accounts are placed into this member group until a minimum of 10 posts.
- YW Mafia -- A special account for our most active members. A minimum of 1,000 posts are required.
- Banned Mofo -- Accounts that have been disabled due to violations with our Community Forum Guidelines.
- Administrators - Responsible for the overall maintenance of the forums.
- YW Moderators - those responsible for maintaining specific forums.
