Gas prices today cost more then double the amount it use to a decade ago. And it may be cutting a chunk out of your bank account. But, there are many ways to cut down on gas mileage and start saving money on gas.1) Check your tire pressure: If your tire pressure is too low you may be causing your car to work extra hard which will result in poor gas mileage. Make sure all your tires are filled to your car's specification.2) Replace your Air Filter: If you have not replaced your air filter in awhile then you might be clogging it up. A fresh new air filter will help you increase gas mileage.3) Don't Drive too Fast: People who drive on the highway at 65 mph save more gas then those driving at an average of 75 mph. Plus you'd be saving money on speeding tickets. So go the speed limit or get in the right lane and go slower. A tune up goes a long ways.8) Make sure your using the right oil: There is a variety of different types of oils out there. Some are thick and some are thinner. That reason is being weather changes, temperature, performance.9) Use a fuel efficient car: Automatics are nice to use but having a manual car is better. You can decide which gear best suits your driving situation. Controlling the gears means less work for the car and a better gas mileage. Or you could also purchase a hybrid car.10) Use special Devices to increase gas mileage: There are plenty of devices and kits out there on the market today that increase a vehicles gas mileage. This includes cyclone fuel savers, Hydrogen Generator kits, HHO kits, and hybrid kits as well. The market offers a variety of gas saving devices, a little research can go a long way.
