What is your definition of love? I know it sounds really broad, but give it a shot.
I think love is not just the "magic" between two people or something like that, but after that wears off, just caring about somebody, being there for them when they need it, being a friend, simple things like that.
I think that is what real love is. Not just the "magic" or "chemistry" or whatever, but after that stuff fades, I guess.
love is having the same priorities in life, and both partners can be more productive and successful (financially or emotionally) when they are with each other. that plus the garuantee of sex........basically.

Love is a small, lonely ball of mud hurtling through space at the far end of the universe.
Love is an emotionally disturbed boston terrier in an itchy pink wool sweater barking uncontrollably at a falling leaf.
Love is a red-faced, badly sunburned tourist sweating profusely on the Wiki-Wiki bus at the Honolulu airport for all eternity.
Love is a big, yellow, heavily-rusted dumptruck being driven around a mountain curve at 70 mph by a bitter, weeping, delusional guy in a backwards baseball cap worn at all times to cover up his bald spot.
Love is a furtive kiss in a dark basement full of beady-eyed, drunken frat boys whacking each other's butts with hand-carved hazing paddles.
Love is holding your breath and diving for pearls, only to get your leg clamped on by a giant clam that won't let go. At night, the sludge eels come.

Love is when a girl picks you up when you are drunk lying on the floor in a puddle of your own puke.
Love is when a girl cleans all the puke off of you unconcious body and changes your pants that you soiled.

I'm really not a devout religious person... but I've always liked:
If I speak in the tongues[1] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[2] but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

love is when you actually look at your partner in the eye while having sex. I think?

I'm going to give you a resounding 'fuck no' for that one. Looking your partner in the eye is having sex with your entire body, not just your cock. It's got nothing to do with love.

love is when you're constantly thinking of little things that your lover likes. And then making sure these little things happen. Careful consideration of what makes them happy. And the desire to be constantly be with them, physically, emotionally, intellectually, sometimes even spiritually. And to connect with that person, to care for that person, and to be in that person's life. Love is many things...

I got this from a chinese/hongkong ancient movie
What is love?
Is it happiness or sadness?
If already loved, merely one day
seems like a century
but when meet to much,
you utter the break-up verse
love is that, nobody knows
Can somebody answer this question?
This is kinda misleading and bad translation from me o__O

Is that from 1 Corinthians Ch.13? It's supposed to be the defining passage in the Bible as far as love. It outlines love (according to God).
Anyway, I like it too :)

Love is the happy acceptance of your significant other for the person they were, the person they are, and the person they will be...
...among other things.
