mooncakes are good. w/ all the different fillings they use now for mooncake, i still think the best filling is the, i guess, traditional egg yolk feeling.

I LOVE mooncakes, especially if they are well made, which means soft and tasty :P

My favorite filling is the bean sauce.

this year, it should be on September 11th.

anyway, mooncakes are good, but they are so filling that i usually just have a quarter of one nowadays. i used to gulp down a whole one when i was younger.

I do like them but I just can't seem to eat the egg. Makes me want to retch.

I'm munching on them right now. This is the fattest time of year, not including Chinese New Years and Thanksgiving.

You know, I've never had a mooncake. The chinese side of me feels so disgraced. :(

believe it or not, you can actually order mooncake online. and from yesasia.com (http://us.yesasia.com/en/Outlet/AsianFood.aspx?did=6391&code=c&gtext=N&section=snacks&), no less.

My mom somehow suckered me into carry about 5 boxes of assorted mooncakes back with me to America in my bag... I had to carry... along with all my clothes and things I bought...

Good thing I didn't get searched at the airport.

I just ate half a moon cake this morning. Pretty good. I just kept slicing and slicing until only half was left.

It grosses me out when people pick it up and eat it hamburger style, i.e., it's not a slice or a piece, it's the whole cake being shoved in mouth. One of my friends younger brother used to do this with a whole big box full, only he'd bite away half and put it back.

Hmm. Now I'm hungry and need to go grab a slice.
