Anybody watching this? The Asian lady named Jun said she only dates white men, and she don't date Asian men due to a bad relationship before. Anyway they moved some the contestants ex's (including Jun's) into the house with them. DRAMA

Is it exclusively Asian women that seem to publically bash men of their own race. Why do they attribute bad relationship to the persons race?

i don't watch big brother at all, but to say that all asian men are the same, that's like using her as the staple of all asian women.
i think a lot of it has to do with issues within the API community with sexism and gender inequality. it's saying something that asian women are leaving relationships feeling like that, but also says volumes about how the asian american community treats asian american women. :(

A lot of Latino girls want "white boys" too because they say Latino guys always cheat and won't get anywhere in life.

i'm assuming because they think that their strict father represents all asian men.
like asian guys born in N.A. are somehow the ones carrying over the traditional bs from the far east.
i think my parents are stupid. that's why i moved out, but you don't see me bashing asian girls.
i went out w/ white girls first and have went out w/ several asians of different nationalities but they are all different.
when will the stupid females realize this. I actually don't care what these idiots do w/ their love life, but don't try to hinder mine by influenceing others.
from what i've seen and experienced, i think that many asian women at times can be the most thoughtless characters on earth when it comes to their social relationships w/ both men and women.
Like asian women will try to convince their other asian girlfriends about their misconceptions of asian guys and that type of sentiment spreads because girls are so gossipy and before you know it, there are groups and numbers of girls wanting to be "cool" w/ the crowd and do what all the other dumb bitchs are doing.
i say good riddance to all the followers. I need a leader in my life to complement my leadership abilities. And an asian whore or a geek won't cut it.

What about a white woman who doesn't date white guys because of some bad relationships with white guys? Another genuine question.
Here's an experiment you guys can do... go to those dating sites on the internet and look at the ethnicity preferences people put. I did, and I noticed some BROAD, GENERAL trends:
White males: want white
Asian males: want asian
Black males: didn't check
Hispanic males: didn't check
White females: want white
Asian females: want white
Black females: want black
Hispanic females: want hispanic or white
What does this all mean (besides the fact that I have too much time on my hands)? Who knows.

Fucking segment was about rising of Korean women on the LPGA.
Moron reporter had the nerve to ask Grace Park why there weren't any Korean Men in the PGA.
And naturally like the stupid sellout she is says something like
" Caucasian men are bigger, larger, stronger and can just hit the ball farther.. they're just better "
my heart sank....
i can believe she would say this shit on the news!! how dare she speak for asian men. And fuck the reporter for asking such a question.
why couldn't she just say that's it's not as popular for Asian Men or anything but that..
so there we are, another public diss by our own women.

I met many girls like that in college. They're justification was that WM's were boring, dull, or unexciting. Their fetish was on the latin lover type of guys.
You can get to see plenty of women like this at salsa clubs, latin (not chicano) parties, or "on their quest" to find the perfect latin lover down in central or south america, etc

I saw her on BB last night or whatever, she's not that cute. She was all up in some tennis gear like she was gonna get in a match before going into the house (wusssupwidddat?). Funny shit.
Anyhow, I was thinking, it does seem disproportionate that asian women are more publicly vocal about dissing "asian males" in mainstream media. I'm saying, if you women don't like the asian brother's, big deal, don't get all uppity and start talking smack to the world. IF that's not your thing, it's all good cuz we didn't want none y'all anyhow.
This reminds me, the last issue of STUFF with Kelly Hu, she was interviewed about Samo Hung and the article writer asked if she knew if Samo was really "HUNG" her response, "Well, he's Asian, you figure it out." What the fuck kind of answer is that ? He should talk some smack back to her cuz she's nuttin but a halfie.

i was reading about the show on the train here in london (we like to keep up with the rest of the world especially American "culture") and i was surprised to see a korean girl in the show....the article also mentioned her ex's name which also sounded korean so maybe the inference is that this horrible korean guy pushed her into the arms of evil whitey......i wouldn't loose sleep over this one though.....it did just seem part of the contrived bitchiness the show's producers no doubt expect of their participants.

And catch phrases like "5 dolla sucky sucky me love you longgggg time" don't help either.
Sometimes I think it was better when inter-racial relationships was seen as taboo. But I guess that's the price AAs pay in order to "fit in America." Gotta sucky sucky white cock all day love them long time.

Great post. You are right about Jee, but unfortunately I don't think it will matter after this week, as he will probably be evicted first.
Jun reminds me of this lady who I work with daily. I think I pissed her off about 9 months ago, and every day since then she doesn't talk to me unless she absolutely has to. Great working environment. I say good morning and I get the "eat shit and die" look. I ask a question about a job and I get beligerance. It all sums up by saying that the "I can't talk to you because you are scum" is immaturity and lack of self-confidence. Mostly immaturity though.
The worst part about this bitch I work with is that I can't get her fired because she's the bosses wife. So I know exactly how Jee feels. He can't get away from Jun, and he knows she hates his guts and he has no choice but to work with her. Man, I really do feel for the guy now.
It's women like Jun that make this world a living hell. I hope she's one of the first to get evicted after this week. Freaking ugly nasty skank!!!!

Jealousy or indignation? For a sister to put down her brothers based on the experience with one man. Where's the fairness in that?
Should Jun and Jee have stayed together? Probably not. They were together for five years. He's 23 and she's 27. There's the age difference and the probability that the relationship got stale. There careers are in different places, too. She probably makes more money than Jee, the bookkeeper.

I dunno about you but I'm not amused because it's public defamation of entire racial group on national television which will directly, indirectly effect me.

see thats the thing, asian women who usually date asian exclusively arent what i would call "acting natural" but they dont really rule out white guys either.
they simply dont make an issue of it. these girls (on reality shows) always make an issue of it as if they are now "liberated" for dating outside. they act all high and mighty and shit. therefore they are insecure. im not referring to all asian outdaters of course, but you tend to notice these girls on reality shows are always mean-spirited

but if you were to judge all asian men based on the comments of say...uncle tat, you'd be guilty of jun behavior too

Sometimes I think it was better when inter-racial relationships was seen as taboo. But I guess that's the price AAs pay in order to "fit in America." Gotta sucky sucky white cock all day love them long time.
Not to get all hapa-rage on you, but do you really expect me to sit back and tolerate this shit?
I understand the frustration Asian men have and a sense of being betrayed by Asian women, but a) you don't want the ones that are stupid enough to fall for the white-is-better stereotype anyway and b ) much of the time you just come off as further "proof" of the woman-hating bigot stereotype that you are trying to get rid of.
Attacking all Asian women as brainwashed sellouts, or all Asian women who have ever dated a white guy for that matter, will not help bring them running to your arms.

WHat makes you say it's "Jealous" anger?
I dunno about you but I'm not amused because it's public defamation of entire racial group on national television which will directly, indirectly effect me.
I mean people should stand up if Asians get bashed as a whole but if only males get it then we should just shut up and take it?
Wow.
I'm not amused by it either, but what's less amusing is the bunch of guys who sit around and whine on the internet all day and can't get ass. Besides, most women who say stuff like that have got to be really shallow because there is no way you can completely generalize a whole group of men based on ethnicity, any idiot knows that. Do guys really want shallow bitches like that to go after them?
mr. x
07-11-2003, 08:25 PM
true true, i think we can all agree that nobody should want a asian girl that shallow
but we do have to realize they are sending a message, and i mean how often is an asian in the media? is this really the select few soundbites we want to be played to the entire country? i mean it's our sisters and girlfriends and so on that are the ones who have to put up with some sleazy white guy on the street yelling that "sucky sucky fi dolla" shit at them, and they sure didnt pick that up from a white woman in the media

All right. I think it has to do with the fact that Asian men are often stereotyped as dominant/overbearing, so if an Asian man said something bad about all Asian women, the media would attack him for being sexist or something. But because Asian women are stereotyped as docile and submissive, their racist statements go unchecked, even appauded (as in, "yay her, Asian grrl power, she had the guts to say that").
A parallel that I can think of is, if a white guy says he only likes white women, he would be attacked for being racist. But if he said he only liked Asian or black women, he would probably be portrayed in a positive, "I welcome other cultures with open arms" light... even though it is essentially the same thing.

Side note: I think it's funny how Asian stereotypes are so contradictory.
How can Asian men be dominant and overbearing when they're also weak and effeminate?
Similarly, how can Asian women be docile and submissive when they're "dragon ladies"?
Why are Asians sometimes perceived to be just about the same as white when people don't think we're even American?

Alas, there just a temporary novelty, anyway -- Jun and Jee.
With the original 8 housemates conspiring together to oust the exes as soon as possible, BetWWTS.com has listed most of the exes with the longest odds to win. Michelle, David's ex, and Justin, Alison's ex, are both at 12/1, while Amanda, Scott's ex, and Robert, Erika's ex, are listed at 25/1. Meanwhile, former couple Jun (15/1) and Jee (40/1) appear destined to be kicked out of the house by the other contestants.

the idea is that asian men are weak and effeminate outside the home (e.g., at work) and, to make up for this, they are dominant and overbearing within the home. kiss-ass to your boss and whip your wife.
for asian women, i guess the idea is that we're docile and submissive for the most part, and transform into dragon ladies in bed.
as for the 3rd one, they may think that we have some commonalities, but none that make us true americans. i don't know.

I think it has to do with the model minority myth. They think we are all well off and successful which is precieved to be a white trait. "Wow they are economically stable just like us white people, not like those Black and Latinos." Thus I think thats why I think we get scoffed at if we bring up racial issue.

I watched a bit of it and did catch where she propositioned the blonde guy about sharing his bed (to which he declined. smart fella.) and her interview footage declaring she only dated Caucasian men. I don't think she's simply a self-hater. Dunno if any of you caught this but when they went round table at introductions, Jun had a cattily jealous reaction to the Pilates instructor woman. This is my take: Jun has rather coarse looks (she's not butt ugly, but she's no beauty queen.) I think she has been and is currently using the Mee So Hornee stereotype to cash in on getting attention. She seems to count on white guys thinking she's sexy solely because she is Asian and her best defense seems to be an offense. She's not going to come out and say "Most white guys can't judge Asian looks and find me sexy primarily because I'm Asian. I'm only average, or even slightly invisible, to most Korean or other Asian guys. Therefore, I'll just take the initiative to say Asian men can't have me, not that they don't want me. And on top of that I'll make those bastards that don't want me feel inferior by excluding them in preference to white males."
For Pete's sake, the woman assured us all on the other side of the camera that she knew without fail that the others saw her as a sexy New Yorker. I don't really care if the woman has self esteem issues but that was a super shitty thing to do on national television just because she doesn't get enough attention.

actually it was a Luc Besson movie, and Corey Yuen did the fight choreography. Luc Besson is the same dude that does all those shitty Jet Li American movies like Kiss of the Dragon. i will never understand how he manages to get huge budgets for shitty scripts. he must be a good salesman.

The main reason is self-selection effect. You're less likely to know an Asian girl who only dates whites. Conversely, white people are less likely to know an Asian girl who only dates Asians.
