so are u?
ill be the first to admit that im not the neatest person. im reallie laid back when it comes to house cleaning -- my bed can stay unmade or ill just throw the blanket loosely over wrinkled sheets...papers can stay in stacks instead of being filed away...dishes can sit for a few hours before i get around to washing em. i dont mind a little clutter. of course i do know when to draw the line..say if there was so much junk on my desk that i couldnt find it anymore.

I must admit too i'm exactly like you... Since school got out i have all my books, binders, and papers in a stack in the corner of my room. I should find some time and get around to cleaning it :? That's just my room don't even talk about my car, i have jackets in the back from when it's cold in the morning and hot throughout the rest of the day, once something goes in my glove box it never comes out, and there are cd's everywhere... What am i going to do????

haha yeah my car is in hideous shape...i havent cleaned that out in forever. lol lets juss ignore the mess and pretend its not there. we can edge it under the rug and forget about it. actually im a disorganized person in general. this year i didnt use a single folder at school. haha my messenger bag can be summed up in one word: disaster.

haha of course girl! =P the future looks bright...first our can invention, then orange/rose selling...then finishing our lives somewhere in a shack with dead grass, cats, and ample room for our sets of hair curlers.

I guess it all depends...when I'm working, I'm typically not a slob. When I'm not working, all hell breaks loose :D
i'm not really a slob ... sometimes when i get up late, then it gets bad ... clothes thrown into a corner, bathroom sink is a mess, u get the idea ... but normally i try to make it so that my room is at least presentable ...

Back in college, some GUY friends came to my dorm and told me to have a little self-respect and clean my room. I eat really messily and couldn't care less what other people think as I'm cracking open chicken bones to get to the marrow, or licking my plate in public, or drinking soup straight from the bowl. I don't comb my hair. I don't shower unless I'm going outside or I'm really sweaty, and I wear clothes fr back in hs.
Does that make me a slob or do I have to keep doing more? :P

not combing hair isn't so bad. its fashionable to have disheveled hair. unless its like oily and stringy. and the rest of it can be put to cultural differences.
and at least u TAKE showers. some of my friends had the unfortunate luck to room with a previously homeless guy (weird story in itself) for 4 months. this guy didn't shower AT ALL. the apartment had 2 rooms and 4 beds. it smelled so bad they never opened the door to their room unless they were coming or leaving. they got so pissed that one night they turned up the AC to 85 and the next morning they couldn't walk thru the shared kitchen without holding their breath. the roommate who invited the slob to stay with them was gagging. we all joked about sneaking into the guy's room at night and spraying him w/ lysol.
another guy who didn't shower (and was messy and all that) had parasites (dunno if they were bugs or fungus or what) under his skin all over his back and he didn't care.
so maybe u're messy and unkempt, but "slob" should be reserved for the extreme of the extreme. :P

I'm a slob. I usually start off pretty good, then slowly the slob level builds up until I can't take it anymore, then I'll do a crazy clean up spree, feel better and start all over again. My biggest problem is that I'm a pack rat. I can't seem to throw anything away. I've still got the box for my ibook computer I bought 4 years ago! I don't even use the computer anymore, but I still have the box! Sheesh, I need help.

The nastiest thing i had to live with in college was a guy who never showered, always left us presents in the toilet including pubes everywhere cuz his fatass gf loved him shaved down there. Whenever he belched a green mist would permeate the entire room. His room was covered in newspapers, books, dirty clothes, used condoms, take out dinner, unwashed dishes, etc and there was no sight of the floor unless you took the time to dig through it. He actually did take showers, but maybe he wasn't using soap or something cuz he always smelled like ass. He also washed his clothes regularly but he had the briliant idea of not drying them to save money so the mildew smell permeated those as well. He never washed dishes. EVER. His coat and backpack had body grease all over them and smelled like shit too. He was a star trek geek, a new york city elitist... (IE NYC is the best place in the world etc...) A mets and Jets fan, a role player (LARP i think it was..), A closet heterosexual who pretended to be bi so he could get into circles where people thought male bi-ness was cool. Always gave his opinion when none was asked. Seemed to believe that Japanese stuff and people were superior to everything, Okay lets say he was not my favorite roommate.
I'll never know how he always had a constant supply of women coming to him, but he did.

One of my old roommates in SF had this happen to him while he was at UCLA. One of his roomamtes invited some random homeless guy to live with them and no one could make the homeless guy leave. I don't know if it was for 4 months though. But it was a truly weird story.

He came back and he was fucking pissed. We thought he'd be happy, but he went and complained to whoever was in charge of dorms and stuff.

Yes, I'm kind of a slob... :( but only because I'm so used to having mom pick up after me. LOL I sound like such a baby. I know that when I am more independent and living by myself, I'll be a lot tidier.
