hey guys, a friend of mine, who is a real expert on Mike Tyson, sent me this link that i thought was pretty amazing. Its a bunch of quotes from iron mike and man if these quotes are all accurate, wow...

http://www.geocities.com/mike_tysons_iron/Quotes.html

maybe i just never knew that much about him, but judging from what i read so far, this guy is not just a simple-minded killer.

he reminds me of Hannibal from the silence of the lambs series.

That demented intelligence, and raw killing power held back by a hair, what a scary scary dood
I've heard on espn that his punching power was comparable to putting a telephone book to your head and having a major leaguer swing a bat at it hard enough to hit a home run.

Definitely on my "don't wanna ever meet in a dark alley" top ten list....hmmm i wonder who is first on that list...

this quotes are from the above link, but i just wanted to stress the intelligence of tyson's thoughts,

from ""Real freedom is having nothing. I was freer when I didn't have a cent"

to

"The one thing I know, everyone respects the true person and everyone's not true with themselves. All of these people who are heroes, these guys who have been lily white and clean all their lives, if they went through what I went through, they would commit suicide. They don't have the heart that I have. I've lived places they can't defecate in."

Damn, i said hannibal earlier, but another fictious character also comes to mind, Fight Club ring a bell?

its true we can't really see the world from his eyes, but most of what he's saying amounts to "my suffering is greater than your suffering."

well to that i say pipedown. other ppl have gone thru personal hells and commited suicide and never acted like u. at least have the etiquette to kill yourself instead of acting out the rage of a madman and blaming it on everybody else.

there is a glimmer of intelligence, but its wasted on blaming others instead of taking responsibility for his own actions.

Mike Tyson is no Tyler Durden.

But at least he's entertaining.

I'd be interested in knowing what his childhood was like, though. What made him tick. I honestly don't think he was born that crazy, but rather something happened to him that made him lose it.

that link i had earlier had some stuff on tyson's history, but the page is down.
anyways, from what little i read, mike was actually passive as a young young kid, so he got picked on alot. he actually raised pigeons, lots and lots of them. but then one day some big bully came and messed with one of the pigeons, the bully pulled the head off one of them. That was when he went crazy and just beat the hell outta the bigger kid.
After that he realized he could beat up lots of ppl bigger than he was, he would stay outside of grocery stores and beat up ppl for food. He even beat up old ladies and stuff.

LOL

That is the funniest story I've heard all day. Could you imagine little Mike Tyson with his high-pitched voice going all psycho on some kid that killed his pigeons? Like the little kid in school who got beat up all the time but one day just snapped and whooped everybody's ass. Except now he gets paid for whoopin ass.

I have to admit, I kinda admire him for standing up to him like that. I remember hearing something about his dad dying and never being the same since, but I wasn't too sure about it.

That pigeon story is pretty funny, tho

for all that testerone going through his body, you'd think it would lower his voice eh?

man all his testosterone goes into beating the snot out of old ladies, the older they are, they harder they fall
