For the first time in a decade or so, I have a reasonable head of Black hair. I got rid of the reddish-brown highlights. Before that it was Blonde and other assorted colors. (I experimented quite a bit w/ hair color in college). And in HS I had a fade (pretty much no hair at all). All I can say is, it looks and feels weird. Anyone else go thorough the same thing, where just plain old black hair on you looks "unique?"

I just dyed my hair black and I've been told many times how "dramatic" it is and how it makes me look younger. I think due to the black hair making me look younger I'm going to keep it.

Yeah, definitely best to get the hair experimentation outta your system in college and HS days, cuz employers just can't let some stuff go.

I haven't had plain black hair since the first time I highlighted my hair, in 5th grade.

The most extreme thing I've ever done to my hair is Bic'd it. The Mr. Clean look. It was awful, lucky for me, my hair grows back extremely fast.
When I was younger I tried pretty much every unnatural color. Major pain in the ass since it took about 3-4 bleachings with 40vol peroxide to get my hair light enough to take the lighter colors -- white, electric blue, green, etc.. This went on for about a year, each color lasting anywhere from 3 days to a week, then decided my head had absorbed enough bleach for a lifetiime. Most people though, unless I show them pictures, would not believe I've ever dyed my hair.

Well, now they have those "Ultra Blue" and "Ultra Blonde" dyeing kits that can zap the shit outta your hair and turn in platinum blonde by setting it in for just an hour, even with jet-black "Asian" hair like mine. After that you can pretty much go any color and it'll be permanent.

Yea my hair has brown streaks now but I think once the color grows out (it's been over 4 months, don't know what is wrong with me) I'm just gonna decide to stay with jet black.

I've never had black hair in my life, and sometimes I wonder what it'd look like on me.

When I decided to stop, I ended up dyeing my hair black until the bleached portions grew out. I used Feria and it ended up making my hair look slightly unnatural... it was this purplish-tinged black. Roots looked horrible on me.

Did you ever notice tho when you use that ߂ (black return) dye that it makes it an unnatural black that is easily detected?

haha yea, I shaved my head 2 months ago and now it grew back. I wish I took a pic of it since I study kung fu. I look like a shaolin monk.

I like your avatar with the salutation. That's cool. When I shaved my head, I looked like an asian uncle fester.

Some Asians look good with the bald look others don't. Proceed with caution.
