If he's a deep sleeper, try and see if you can stuff his nostrils with cotton.

Like I said earlier, your 100-pound college textbooks aren't just good for serving as colorful paperweights. SMACK!! :D
Do what I do to my flatmate. He sleeps with his door open. I just pick up his second pillow, place it lovingly over his face, and gently press down until he stops snoring. Of course, this an art. If he begins struggling, do not press harder. Let up, go back to your room and lie down.
Later he might come in and ask if you tried to "kill" him. Deny everything. Accuse him of being crazy and tell him it was just a nightmare. If you call him a momma's boy for crying about dreams, he'll shut up right away.

That's my Bonnie.
I hear that you're supposed to keep them from sleeping on their backs. If you can, tape a tennis ball to their backs. (This is what my doctor told me.)
If they deny that they snore and won't do this, stick a tape recorder in their room and tape them snoring. Then play it back for them in the morning. That usually gets them back on the track to redemption.

Try to turn his head to one side or close his mouth... that should muffle most of it.

I usually just pick up my brother's teddy bear and stuff the leg down his throat.....usually does the trick.....gagging reflex stops the snoring.....usually by the time he's done removing the foreign object from his throat and stopped coughing up a lung, I'm usually asleep.....

My roomie talks and laughs in his sleep in addition to occasional snoring. It's disturbing. Sometimes I answer him. :)

I don't get it. How is it possible for a dog to snore? They sleep on their stomachs ...

One of my dogs makes snoring and weird breathing sounds even when he's awake.

Mine's a pug too. I have a pug and a rottweiler...and the pug is the mean one and always likes to punk his brother. Funny thing since the rottie can like totally destroy him if he wanted to.
