I think Craig is a sophisticated news gathering AI. He's not a person but a programmed construct like Agent Smith.

Craig is an amazingly voracious newsreader if he finds all his stories manually. Consider his sources...Asian newspapers, American newspapers, Australian sources.

I could spend all day ont he internet (and I do) and not read all those newpapers.
