Why does it matter to you? What is the point of asking this? I can totally sympathize on feeling such hatred, but ultimately who is it helping? All it does is justify in your own mind your hatred and pity for them, and I doubt it'll help humanize them in your mind or enable you to see them as products of a society - just as we all are.

Yeah he can be a bit harsh and over-projecting himself in his comments on Asian ladies, OK, can't deny that. But I think he really does like Asian ladies alot . . . but he's just pissed over the whole issue. Perhaps that is the only way he knows how to express himself. Alot of AMs are like this so it does'nt come as a shock to me.

i saw on another thread in the vancouverforum, there are always heated racist discussions there.

one guy mentioned if it is racist to prefer someone from your own race.

and someone mentioned a white dude with his AF. His parents tell him everyday, "why don't you go out and find yourself a nice white girl?" from family and friends i'm sure.

i can tell you a true story of hidden racism in general that really sucks.

i get the whole "you're the coolest chinese guy i know" thing from people.

i have a whole lot of canadian friends and share similar attitudes but boy does it suck sometimes being the token asian.

you just know people typically don't like other races but everyone hides it and i'm similar enough to other canadians/friends and grew up and schooled in canada but racism is just always there. if not every day like every week. it's inescapable.

there was just a recent article that if you have an ethnic sounding name in Canada you are less likely to get a call back for your resume.

This was a study by sending out fake resumes to get responses back.
