Obama's transition team invited Asian American community leaders to meet and speak, and here's a clip of some of that. some of the stuff that they talk about is known within the Asian American community, and it's great to see it broadcasted in the mainstream.
Karen Narasaki from the Asian American Justice Center pointed out the significance of Obama appointing Eric Shinseki on Pearl Harbor Day. this is something that some of us here on YW also picked up on. but she also pointed out the fact that Steven Chu is a lab scientist - the same way that Wen Ho Lee is a lab scientist. not sure if Obama was aware of that connection, but it's certainly a fact that's also worth signifying.
