Just wondering how much should it cost to replace it?
The reason why I ask the question is my dad's camry cuts out when he tries to reverse.
After a couple of false starts, it seems fine.
But still, I'm a bit worried. Any other idea what it might be?

Where's he located? If he's in Australia, I don't know how accurate our estimates would be.

Mate this does help (and yes he's in Oz). It gives me a bit of a comparison.
I get a feeling we're going to have to bend over.

Actually. forget the timing belt. My master cylinder was packed it in.
Cost me $500+ to get the stupid thing!
Time for a new car.
