I'm looking for casual everyday sneakers. I tried the Prada America's Cup and was disappointed by how uncomfortable they were. Any suggestions?

I typically go with ASICS.

Prada?? Adidas Stan Smiths are my personal favorite. Relatively cheap, too. Then again, I never really warmed up to the new generation of sneakers.

I've been wearing Nike AirMax running sneakers since the day I was born. And Nike Shox running sneakers. All I have in my closet when it it comes to sneakers for the most part are Nike sneakers. All I know is Nike. I eat, breathe, sleep and shit Nike.

yes, that and New Balance are my favorite running, I mean, jogging shoes. I don't know about casual. I guess Nike and Converse are alright. I hardly wear any sneakers other than when I exercise.

I wear Asics for running but I need something more casual.
I googled Adidas Stan Smiths. They're decent.
I don't like those Converse-style rubber-toe sneakers.

^ Stan Smiths don't have rubber toes, unlike the Superstars (http://www.shopadidas.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2978161&shopGroup=R&cp=2039765.2019613&parentPage=family&colorId=). I don't like the rubber toes either 'cause they usually turn dingy yellow after time. But they are still Converse-y, I guess.

This is actually the one I have and like (minus that newly added stupid logo on the nose) Smith Millennium (http://www.shopadidas.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2007314&shopGroup=R&cp=&keywords=stan+smith&y=0&searchId=29349224873&x=0&parentPage=search&colorId=).

airwalks but lately I hvaen' been able to find any around the area, though I don't why you're omplaining.

I usually just pick up some peice of crap onsale 20$ skater shoes from big 5 or elsewhere and they suit me fine after a certain break in period.

i'm all about the casual sneakers.
and i can't stop raving about the ones i got from geox.
i bought one pair, went back and bought two more.
the first time i wore one, i was on my feet for almost 12 hours
and they're so damn comfortable. and my socks are definitely less wet
on those long days.

i highly recommend the casual sneaker line from geox.

Geox looks very promising. I will try them. But I don't see how they'd make your feet sweat less. It's almost completely leather. No breathable mesh material.

Nevermind. I just looked at their website which explains the breathable soles.

Cole Haan Sport Luxe line or ECCO if you're looking along the lines of a hybrid casual/sneaker shoe.

Noona is a hot foot?

I use to be less fussy about my casual footwear, as long as I could pick up and run with it if I wanted to, so when I was younger it was Nike/ASICS/New Balance running shoes, but as I got older, I figured I'd be running and jumping off random street fixtures less(fire hydrants/garbage cans . . . yeah. I couldn't stand still waiting for traffic lights) so I went with Chucks (Chuck Taylor's from Converse - both high and low), Adidas tennis shoes, and flat soled Vans slip ons.

I found that I avoided the yellow rubber toe syndrome by not wearing the shoes when it was wet outside, and avoiding any liquid crap on my shoe in general. I've worn out a couple of pair of Chucks in their soles without yellowing or hardening the rubber toes.

If I were in my Nike/ASICs/New Balances, I could careless, I'm still all over the place with those. =)

Don't know if anyone else does this, but I use an eraser on the scuff marks of my gym shoes. Usually works.

In the summer I only wear gym shoes to the gym. Otherwise it's flip-flops or flats. My feet get uber sweaty and it's gross.

I agree. Especially the ECCO line of casual shoes. They are very expensive, ( sometimes up to $200 for a good pair of ECCO casuals ... ) but I really like the way they look, they are very stylish and very, very comfortable.

But otherwise yeah, Nike is the only line of athletic footwear I'll consider.

It seems that it's virtually impossible to find casual Merrells in the US (other than the fugly slip-ons) - the Merrell casual "track" shoes are great.

Saucony makes some cool casual treads such as the Bullet.

The Originals are good as well.

I wear Asics for running but I need something more casual.

Asics makes a good line of casual sneakers - the Onitsuka Tiger line.

Btw, the CEO of Zappos is some Asian guy.
