Ultimately, if the backlash from Chinese authorities and citizens alike leads to oppression, then future "terrorism" in Tibet is guaranteed.

This is not unlike what happened to the urban poor of major cities of the world, including Tokyo. Though in Japan's case, the poor are not as oppressed by the State but are nevertheless under the thumb of powers beyond their control, like unemployed yakuza whose bosses are now serving time in jail.

The weapons cache found represents presence of either CIA aid or most likely PLA false incrimination. In any case, IMHO there may be direct or indirect mutual cooperation between CIA and PRC to demonize Free Tibet supporters and their agents in Tibet as "terrorists".

However, PRC is the root of that terrorism by their oppressive control of the autonomous region.

This is analogous to police controlling gang activity, both in America and elsewhere around the world. The more you criminalize drug abuse and prostitution (the side effects of oppression), the more you create criminals.

By oppressing the Tibetans, China is thus creating tomorrow's Tibetan "suicide bombers".

However, at the root of that oppression is the same root (of evil) that threatens the world: the lust for money and power.

Sadly, no one knows what to do about China (http://www.rjgeib.com/thoughts/china/what-to-do-about-china.html) except to either praise it or condemn it. China should let Tibet follow its own path, as well as the Falun Gong and pro-democracy cliques.

Hmm. Personally I doubt that there would be any mutual cooperation - direct or indirect - between the CIA and the PRC. The CIA is known to have aided the Tibetan resistance between the 1950s and 60s; I don't think they would have switched sides in this context.

It's not so much as cooperation as side effects, I am afraid.

The CIA planned this carefully throughout the university campuses world wide.

The protests occurred not only in Tibet but also in India and around the world.

For the Chinese document on this is a good read on how the government there views the Free Tibet movement. They blame the Dalai Lama cos they know how upset America would be if they mentioned the connection between the student movement and the organizations both in the UK and the US which have indirect ties with the CIA.

It is safer for Beijing to blame Dalai Lama than secret agents of the narcoterrorist state called America.
