hmm. but PPP standards are problematic because it seems to ignore cultural differences in consumer trends. plus i think it is used more to measure quality of life than real economic power.

but ppp is best of the lot, a lot more preferable than economy measured by exchange rates.

given that GDP is usually measured in US dollars and that the yuan is pegged to it, wouldn't it make nominal GDP a better measurement? or does that actually make it a worse measurement?
