first off, if you're sick, you should go to sleep early and rest. second, the worst thing a singer can do is sing with a cold.

what section are you in?

666.

you didn't nip it in the bud? ususally.. you can feel your voice going..
anyway, boil water, ginger and lemon slices together.
add lots of honey.
and drink it slowly as often as you can..

i hope you feel better enough to perform..
:) :)

Yeah, and if worse comes to worse, just mouth it. How many members are there in your choir?

Glad to see I wasn't the only one! As long as you moved your bow at the same time as everyone else, you were good to go.

Like they all said, use honey. Drink warm liquids and stay away from cold ones.
Man, you poor guy. I would hate to lose my voice because I talk so much, and when I'm not talking, I'm singing.

OMG, when I was in choir during middle school, one of the guys who had a solo was having voice problems. Puberty! His voice would crack every time he'd try to sing. Bwahaha. It was funny. With maturity comes a wider vocal range though, so s'all good.

Halls was very effective for me during my American Idol tryouts
yeah get some sleep now but make sure no naps and whatever right before the performance
you wake up and your voice'll be messed up and it will need some time to boot (like a computer except even slower)
drink hot fluid s and etc. I dunno what else but yeah try your best man and knock 'em dead

Whew it's over....ended a few hours ago...my voice was basically shot, so I couldn't make any sound if I tried to sing a high note. So I lypsynched everything until the Chamber choir, which I did as must singing as I could and did some cheesy and hella exaggerated dancing....man people said I hella rocked the show with my coreography...so sweet...it was like...CHEESE. hah...either that or they were laughing at me...okay I have no voice now. Good night.
