This documentary was hilarious, and really thought-provoking. Anyone see it? I actually felt bad for Charlton Heston.

I have a love-hate relationship with michael moore. I love his movies, but I hate the tactics he uses on the issues he goes after. His tactics are up there with the National Equirer.

Loved this movie.
I'm not a fan of propaganda even if it helps the issues I care about. Much less agitprop. It's easier to take him more seriously when he writes.

I really liked the movie, but I thought it was interesting how he accuses the media of promoting fear in society, when he's probably doing the same exact thing with this film.

absolutely loved this movie....i almost cried during the various montages that he used throughout the film.
Also, it was so eerie watching the Columbine footage...<shivers>
The Charlton Heston interview was just plain sad
It's funny how he made the Michigan militia look like idiots...has anyone read his book Stupid White Men??

Werd. I wanted to cry when that guy was protesting the gun rally getting all choked up about his son.
But it was way funny, too. The best part was that little cartoon with the scared white people killing the friendly looking native americans and slaves. LOL. And the kid who pulls 15 guns out of his pants.

Well, sometimes it's hard to tell if he's serious--like in his book Stupid White Men......why does he care so much about black people? I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but you know most whites aren't like that at all; he does seem to have a very liberal agenda, not quite sure what it is though. He does a lot of white-bashing though, whether it's about minorities or whatever.

Michael Moore makes good films, but the issue I have with him is that they always have an underlying sense of self... uhh, what's the word... self...... *scratches head* I gotta stop doing drugs.
I mean to say that he makes his movies under the premise that he wants to help society, but really he wants to help himself it seems.
Aside from all that, i really enjoy his work.
I believe he is earnest. His work for NPR and his writings before he hit it big with Roger & Me show this. Actually, even his recent articles show that his liberal agenda is not really self-serving. Maybe it comes out that way in his more mainstream projects, I donno. In those, he really does want to irritate you, agitate you (hence agitprop), to motivate action. It has it good and bad points, as evidenced by some distaste in this thread.
