I'm a part of this group called SPOT. We're pretty much a group of youth who are out there to empower other youth when it comes to their community. So far, our group is more Asian-based, more Asian directed.

Anyway, on Saturday, November 30th, 2002, we are holding a Spaghetti Feed in order to raise money for our Leadership Training Trip. This is a 4-day trip for our group to goto LA. We will be visiting such museums as the Tolerance Museum and the JA Museum.

The tickets are $8. The money goes to the trip and the food we will be serving. It's all-you-can-eat spaghetti. It's more of a celebration and a thank you event for supporting our group than just paying for the spaghetti.

If you guys are interested in helping to support me and my fellow group members, and need further information (location, etc.) please contact me through this board or send an email to ennotoo@hotmail.com. It would be great if you guys could help out.

No. But there should be. I think I'll make it a plan to start it, but as of now, there isn't. The group is pretty new. It was created out of a church and is only two years old. If you have any questions, you can ask me.

Also, I'm aware that it is Thanksgiving Weekend for people, and I know that it will be pretty difficult for some people to get to the event itself, but any support will be greatly appreciated.

Also, I noticed that we discuss some of the stuff that we've discussed here in YW. There's the whole "strict Asian parents" thing, discussions about school (college, grades, etc.), image (the Asian image, stereotypes), self-esteem, etc.
