True Face of Racism!

What is racism? For those who are too young, to arrogant or ignorant to acknowledge that racism exit, racism does not seem to be such a harmful thing! In fact in those people’s mind there is no such thing as racism! But I am here to tell my readers that there is racism! And it is very prevalent and alive in white America! And I am here to use my experiences from a child to adult to teach to the readers what white culture is all about and it is a culture that survives on racism and violence!

The true face of racism comes in infinite forms, but a person always knows they are being racist against. Because of the dehumanization, the shock and humiliation that comes as a result of racist attacks!

When I was 7 years old and living in China I saw first hand on TV what it is like to live in America! The famous Chinese physics qian xuo sen who went to Cal-Tech and responsible for the first Chinese nuclear bomb experienced very blunt and violent racist attacks by white America! When he went to a restaurant white American would call him Chink, tell him to go back to your fucking country, they tell him all Chinese are cat and dog eaters, or all Chinese are fucking dogs! Yes those are the exact words this great Chinese physicist got from white Americans! Off course this great Chinese physicist did not break down in the face of such harsh racism, but instead chooses to get revenge the best way he knows how, and that is going back to his motherland(China) and help China and the Chinese people develop their first Atomic Bomb! And till this day the Chinese people and I are grateful to him!

After watching the TV-series about this great Chinese physics I thought I knew what racism was! Off course I was shocked but I thought I was prepared mentally to deal with racism! I thought in my mind there will be fellow Chinese who will be sympathetic to me! I thought I will not be alone when I am racially attacked by whites, I thought the racist attack I receive will be blunt and straightforward! And how wrong I was!

Around the age of eleven I arrived in California United State! By this time I have grown use to white people and honestly really liked white people! I thought of white people as real nice, generous, and polite and considered us Chinese as equals! I got those ideas from my mom’s few white friends! My mom’s white friends were very nice to me and never showed any racism around my mom! Also I went to an all Asian school where the few white kids that attended the school did not act racist against any Asian and Asian kids and white gets got alone fine!

I than moved to an area of predominantly white (90% white)! My parents had to move because of the location is much closer to their work! My first day attending the all white school was very shocking! For the first time I was called a fucking gook, yellow monkey and I could not believe it was directed at me! After being called those things, I started go into denial, I refuse to believe what was happening to me! I felt this can not be because the same white people who had treated me so nicely before are now calling me fucking gook, or fucking yellow monkey.

By that time I was deeply assimilated into white culture! I was white-washed, I embraced whiteness! I thought the white man as strong, tough and more intelligence than any race. I thought the white women are more beautiful than any women of any race! I was deeply assimilated by white culture and I thought the white people considered us Chinese as equal!

All my hopes lay in hoping that white America considered us Chinese as equals and it was shattered by all the racist attacks I received in that white school! For a very long time I thought that not all white people can possibly be this racist and hateful towards us Chinese! I thought this culture of racism and violence only existed in this school, and not all white people are like this!

After I moved to a new school with half white and half non-white I thought all the racist attacks would be over! I thought the white people that abused me so badly just a couple days ago are just a nightmare of my past! And how wrong I was!

In my new school, the Asian kids that attended the school are all white-washed! They hated their Asian heritage, they hated everything non-white, they want to date white girls but no white girl wants them! They are not frustrated to see other Asian girls harassed by white man; they don’t care if other Asian kid gets beaten up by the white man! And they loved to insult any Asian that did not speak fluent English with the word fucking FOB! And yes, you heard me right a fucking FOB!

In this new school it was even worth for me than the all white school! Because in this new school I had to deal with Asian that prefers to please their white master by harassing fellow Asians! For my survival I had to change and I had to adapt to a new setting! I chose to become an abuser! In order to survive in this new environment I chose to harass fellow Asians! I harassed any Asian that is weak, fobish or just looked funny! I made countless Asians live miserable, and one of the most violent acts I did was cutting a fellow Asians throat with my fingernail! He was bleeding badly which also pleased my so-called white friends!



When it comes to fighting and hurting fellow Asians we are all brave and we talked big, but when it comes down to standing up to the white kids, we are all scared and did not want to bother! I remember a very sad incident regarding a Chinese boy and his sister! The white kids decided to sexually harass his sister, at first the brother resisted and told the white kids to back off, but when the white kids threatened him with physical violence the Chinese kid backed off and let the white kids have their way with his sister! It was sad and I saw the whole thing! But than what can anyone do, or what you and I can do when not one Asian on the scene was willing to stand up for that poor Chinese girl! And that poor girl was sexually humiliated mercilessly!

Thinking back I often wonder how all of us can chose not to feel any hurt seeing fellow Asian girls sexually harassed by white kids! How we as Asians can just stand their and laugh with the white man while they beats up fellow Asians! And how there is not one Asian willing to stand up and say this is wrong!

I have to say at this point in life I both hated and embraced whiteness! I loved whiteness because at this point in my life I really believe that the only beautiful girl in the world is the white woman! I was affected by the white media, the white people whom I had daily contact with, the books I read and the bullshit and lies that are put up by white America! However, I am not at fault because I was only a 13 year old kid and my parents have taught me nothing about how to treat girls, or fellow Asians! All my parents’ cared about was my grade and they did not think anything this horrible could possibly happen! Sometimes I wondered if my parent had taught me a little bid of pride in being Chinese, or a little bit about how to act around girls maybe my life would be happier and maybe I would have used my mind to convince other Asians to stop allowing the white boys harass our woman!

As my parents moved out of this half white, half non-white neighborhood and we moved back to a neighborhood where it was 90% Asian! I was shocked to see Asian kids so beautiful and so innocent! The Asians in this new neighborhood are mostly made up of kids and girls newly arrived from Korean and China! They are very nice and polite kids! They loved and embraced who they are! They have never been racist against by anyone in their life and they have never been racist to anyone! I was so amazed at just how beautiful the Korean girls are! They are white skinned, tall and talked beautiful Korean which I can’t forget to this day!

I have to admit in the beginning I was not very fond of this new kinder, gentler atmosphere. I was used to an atmosphere of sexual harassment, violence and hardcore racism! I felt alone and totally out of place in this new school! I tried to install racism between the Chinese and Koreans! I wanted to see fights and I hurt people! However, not one Chinese believes the bullshit I put out about the Koreans! Not one Chinese wants fights and the Chinese kids and Korean kids got along fine! I felt frustrated and started harassing Asian kids indiscriminately and I befriended white kids! Like out times I tried to please the white kids and enjoyed hurting Asian kids! To my horror even the white kids were shocked about my behavior! Thinking back I believe those white kids are against my behavior because they are outnumbered in this school and did not want to be racially harassed! The white kids in this school are still hardcore racist! They told me their parents have taught them things about both Korean and Chinese, they told me that the Chinese and Koreans eat dogs and cats because we are sub-human. They told me that Korean and Chinese girls are all whores and they told me that it is very easy for them to get a Korean or Chinese girl to put out because they are white! And they also told me that all Asian man including me have small dicks and that we are all gay!

As time pass my beliefs and my thinking started to change! I stopped hanging around white kids in my school! I started talking in Chinese to fellow Chinese kids! Basically I started embracing who I am again! I started to realize just how beautiful the Korean and Chinese girls are! With there sexy smile, polite looks and awesome figure, I started to realize that the white woman are not the prettiest in the whole world, rather true beauty are from my own race, my own kind! I begin to realize the faulty of my past and the shameful deeds I have done! I started to really hate white people! For one whole year I refused to speak any English, at home or in school! And when the Koreans talk to me in English I just pretend I don’t know how to speak English! I also started harassing the white kids and they did not fight back! I also humiliated white girls and they did not fight back! In class I argued against white supremacy! When the teacher said the European invented the telescope I would argue that the Europeans stole the idea from the Chinese! When the teacher said Greek philosophers were the first philosophers I would argue that the Chinese are the first philosophers! I made my white teacher so mad he refused to teach me!

I also did my best in that mostly Asian school to spread the truth about the white people! However, because many of those Asian kids are fortunate enough to not ever gone to a white school they refused to believe what I had to tell them! Rather they were impressed with how I am able to speak such fluent English, or how I can communicate and befriend white people so easily. And many of them thought of white American’s as polite, not racist and nice! However, if they were to know the truth, than they would know, that the reason I was able to befriend white people so easily was because I know how to talk to the white people in their own language! And I talked to white people in the language of racism! For example, if I were to say hello to a white person, the white person might say hello back to me! And than I ask the white person how is the weather and the white person says the weather is fine! But this is going no where! And leads to no where! But if I were to add racism to the conversation like, such as (all Asians have small dick)! Than we can talk for hours without ever stopping!

Thinking back I missed the wonderful times I had in this 90% Asian school! For the first time I felt I was belonged and loved! I was loved because I am East Asian! And I felt belonged because there is nothing more wonderful than being around your own kind. The Chinese and Korean treated me like a human being and I was unable to return the favor or the love because of my lack of racial awareness! The Chinese and Korean were polite to me in every way and in that school I saw so much kindness and love that to this day I miss it!

For a very long time I tried to figure out why the minority of white kids who attended a majority Asian school are treated so nicely. I wondered and thought for a very long time if the white people are truthful when they said (when the Indians first saw white people, they thought of them as very beautiful and lovely, but the white people did not feel the same about Indians). I wanted to know if the white people are correct when they say their whiteness is universal attractiveness and therefore their presence alone gains the respect of any race! I want to know if we Asians deep down in our hearts and minds embraces whiteness but don’t admit to it.

In the end I have to admit I was not prepared to deal with the true nature of racism! I could never have imagined that some of the harshest racism could come from me or my own kind! I could never have imagined when I was getting my revenge on the white kids for their racism against all Asian that the Asian kids would rather fight me and protect the white kid! I could never have imagined how lonely it was to know the true nature of white people but than nobody including my parents would believe me!

To non East and Southeast Asian reader!
If you hurt any East or Southeast Asian people in anyway than the proud East Asian and Southeast Asian people will get revenge on you! If it takes us the rest of our life, or our next life but we proud East Asian and Southeast Asian will get our revenge on you and all proud East Asians or Southeast Asians will be united! But it really raises a truth that it took me decades to realize.

We are victimized, and the denial and pain in our souls is repressed to the point of denying who we are in order to fit in.

I have beautiful eurasian children. I live in an all white upper middle class suburb. Yet, I have had experiences similar to yours, BestChinese.

I think that even those who mock your sincerity can find examples in their own lives and experiences that confirm what you say... Asians often don't stick together because at least a few times in their lives, they regret and are actually ashamed that they were not born white in a white world. By closer association with whites, they can deny the reality of their difference and minority status. It's not because we are inferior, it's because we are outnumbered.

20 years ago, I would have laughed at you too, and refused to acknowledge your pain, because if I ignored the reality, it would, well, not be real. It is real. Maybe the college-age, or those sheltered in a predominantly Asian environment did not experience or witnessed the racism as we have.

Joining this forum has literally been one of the first times I have reached out to try to meet other Asians... the culmination of years of trying to learn and embrace my own heritage. A heritage that envy and deprivation caused me to nearly deny in my youth.

Frankly, your long, heart-rending note was tedious and hard to read. But the truth and pain you feel is undeniable. You are not alone with these experiences. Thank you for posting them, I appreciate it.

Blacks are stronger than Asians in the US in every measure. Check the Fortune 500 for top individual incomes... you will find that blacks outnumber the whites for top incomes in the USA for most years over the last decade.

A DECADE ago, top 5 were, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby were the highest paid people in the USA. That's 4 blacks out of the top 5. Do blacks represent 80% of the US population? Why do they dominate top US wages? They DOMINATE US sports, DOMINATE US music, 2 of the most financially lucrative and visible professional categories in the world. They reach into the highest echelons of US political power (Colin Powell was encouraged by blacks whites and minorities to run for President of the US, Sec of State Condoleeza Rice is arguably the most powerful woman in the world today).

Yet they still object to the word Nigger, and they object and actively seek to stop discrimination against blacks, even tho by most success meters, power, fame and money they are kicking white butt as their percentage of the population.

Discrimination is CLEARLY not killing them, but they do something about it, and they don't allow it. And you aren't seeing much of it publicly are you? I use that word nigger and I KNOW that in using that word, people cringe reading it. WHY? Because it's racist. Why is it racist? It's just a word? Because active blacks have made you very aware it's racist, they don't like it, and will NOT tolerate it.

When I was a child, blacks called each other niggers endearingly and use it to describe themselves. Today, even the word 'colored' is a racist word... yet Martin Luther King and other prominent blacks described themselves as 'colored'. It was the POLITE way to say black 20 years ago. Not today.

How'd the once POLITE label get to be a racist word today? Because blacks did not give THEMSELVES this label, so it reminds them of the colonial past where they were branded by others. You don't see this word used anymore, they gave themselves a new label they chose, African-American. THIS is now the predominantly correct way to say what they are, and EVERYONE uses the term.

Tell me, why should we grin and bear our continuing discrimination with such fatalistic acceptance? What does not kill us makes us stronger? Yes. We can put up with it, but why SHOULD we put up with it?

BestChinese, I can relate to some of the things you’ve experienced. My high school was mainly made up of minorities from Asian, Blacks, Mexicans, and etc. The white kids were the minority. So when I graduated and went to college in San Luis Obispo, it was a total culture shock. That’s when I realized how white the world really is.

As for “getting revenge”, I don’t think that’s going help change things. You’re not going change a racist by kicking his ass or making threats, even if it makes you feel better. Of course we gotta stand up for ourselves but violence is just going cause more violence. We just have to show them the error in their thinking, somehow.

I'm with Lai. I've read previous postings by this guy (this is the 9th part, or so he claims). In previous versions, he grew up in China and came here for college, grew up here, grew up in predominantly white neighborhoods, grew up in predominantly Asian neighborhoods, grew up in predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods, grew up in predominantly black neighborhoods, or in some ever shifting combination and permutation that is not consistent from one version to the next.

thank you for your understanding! most asians do not understand white people! i still have white friend and like you i am trying to become chinese again! I am afraid i know more about the white people than the white people might known about themselves! Here's the case, chinese men have small dicks but they are very reproductive and think of the number of people we have in this world. Sometimes, it's good to take things on the irony/lighter side.
The reasons why they said things to hurt you because it makes them happy to see you angry and this helps to cover their incompetence.

While I was reading through the writings in the forum, I realized that there are many painful and hurt young asians who have suffered a great deal of humiliation. I am glad that this website has helped them to release and get decent moral support. Not that we wouldn't tell families and friends of what we experience, it's just too much of a burden for them...

There is always a dream that I would like to see all Asians united, whether they are Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Thai, Vietnames, Philippinos, Malaysians, Indonesians, Iranians (asia minor), East Indians, etc...There are actually a huge group of asians out there to support each other. I hope to see someday, the asians in North America could support ASIA in giving them support and help or maybe form an Alliance of Asia like the EU. The EU is an eurocentric group of white supremacists to oppress other non-unionized and non-white nations. I like your overal tone and I sympathize wth what you have suffered, but I have to disagree with why white people chose to use racial slurs against Asians!
