Karizma mentioned infomercials in a seperate discussion (auto-maintenance). See This link (http://forums.yellowworld.org/index.php?act=ST&f=39&t=3139&amp) For that topic.

So I got to thinking, we've all seen those late night infomercials. From the George Foreman Grill, to the Total Gym with Chuck Norris and Christy Brinkley. How about Ron Ponpeil with the pasta machine and of course his hair in a can. Speaking of hair, what about the Flowbee! The Ginsu Knife? The Boxflex? You get the drift.

Here's what I had to say about this previously.

I actually broke down and bought something that was being sold as an infomercial. That stupid Ab-energizer. It's supposed be like doing 500 situps in a few minutes, all by electro, muscle stimulation (EMS).

I was so excited. I put on the minty smelling conductivity gel (nevermind the images of Jack Nicholson having this crap spread on his temples in One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest. They used it for shock therapy). Then you set the level and hit the power button....YOWZAAAA, I damn near electrocuted myself!!!!! You won't believe how hard it is to find the freakishly small off button when you're flailing uncontrollably!

So who else out there is a sucka like me and fell for an infomercial. Let us know all about it (Oh God, please don't let me be the only one!)

The only informercial product that I myself am guilty of purchasing is Duralube. I think it fucked up my engine in my old car...=/

My mom on the other hand, gets all sorts of shit. She got the Jetstream oven (basically a glorified hair-dryer that cooks food for those that aren't in the know...sucked), the Red Devil Grill (aside from the fact that the red paint started burning off of it and into the food, I guess it worked), Oxyclean (don't know if this shit works), and the Showtime Oven (From Ronco...this shit actually works pretty damn well though the "steamer" that sits on top of the oven is pretty damn stupid).

I just like watching the informercials..

My sister bought pro-active, then I started using it. It works, actually but I think it depends on your skin type. It doesn't work on some people. That's the only thing.

If you want lipstick that doesn't come off, use Maxfactor. But that stuff is expensive as muttfuck.

I own a George Foreman Grill...bought it in a store though.

It actually works pretty well to be honest although the chicken usually comes out pretty dry, probably because i overcook it.

I always get so hungry when I'm watching late night infomercials, seems like most of them are about food! I so badly wanted the red-devil too, food anywhere I care to take it!
