I knew it was Morgan Freeman's voice as soon as I heard him! Probably because the last movie I saw was Batman Begins.

Picking Morgan Freeman to do the narrator's voice was perfect because I had a 'Full Impact' flashback.

Steven Spielberg is a genius. I had no idea those little micro-organisms in the beginning would eventually lead to the alien's demise.

Tom Cruise's character was perfectly believable. I liked his 'wtf' reactions. It was amazing.

Here are my favorite 'wtf' moments from Tom Cruise's fabolous face in no particular order.

1. When he throws the ball and breaks his kitchen window on accident.

2. When he finds out his teenage son, Robbie, drives off with his Mustang(??)

3. When he sees that just one guy and a little child made it out of the intersection alive besides him.

4. When he walks back into his home after nearly getting vaporized for the first time.

5. When the flaming train roars past (Creepiest part of the movie IMO)

6. When he realizes the aliens are spraying blood everywhere.

7. When he finds out that Robbie survived.

There is plenty more but I can't think of any more right now.

Dakota Fanning's character had the best 'wtf' moments.

'The trees are moving...'

That was my favorite line of hers and when she watches the dead people float by in the river. It was like watching a horror movie.

Robbie's best one was when he was staring at the airplane that crashed on his mother's house.

Tim Robbins character had the best line 'I'm dead set on living.'

Tom Cruise killed aliens!

The special effects were what you were expecting. None of that rubbery mess. The sound...I almost jumped out of my seat several times and I was shivering out of fright. I started shivering when the lightining first started hitting (The aliens come down through the lightning) and didn't stop until 30 minutes later after the film was done.

This film ranks #1 greatest film of all time in my list.

#2 Heat
#3 The Lion King.
#4 American Tale
#5 Hard-Boiled.

You know what's funny? these aliens have amazing weapons and defense systems... and yet they can't make vaccines.

i didn't really like this movie, it was getting pretty boring in the middle and the marines were only in it for a brief scene. what gives!

neways can't read the review ; it's just dark.

i thought the movie was pretty depressing.... i didn't want to see humans getting wasted by star-like sticks with a watermelon sticking on top
