Who's interested in Cuban food and barhopping on Sunset strip this Saturday night (October 16th)???

we went to El Cholo for dinner, then AAAA in Ktown for drinks, and then some korean food afterwards to sober up.

well, they had those flat tv screens everywhere, and all of the sudden, his face comes on and he starts muttering something in korean. there were english subtitles, but only for some of the words. then, with korean pop music in the background, we watched a slideshow of pictures of them when they were dating, etc. one of the tv's, in the center, was showing them, although the place was pretty small and almost everyone could see them without the tv. she slid in her chair in shock/embarassment, but then covered her mouth, giggled, then hugged his arm as she enjoyed the slideshow. he was frantically fanning him face with his hand <-- i think that was the best part. then he whispered something to her, she whispered something back, and he put a ring on her.
i thought it was all very sweet.

sure. i'm impervious to it now after my last relationship. but, you ain't getting the whole public proposal, on one knee and asking if you will marry me crap like that dude.
you're getting what my ex-fiance got. a toss of the engagement ring on her lap aided by the general anesthesia a la a case of budweisers in my system to dull the pain. but, if you take solace in the knowledge that even when i'm at my worst, i am at my best. we'll be ok.
