yes, that's a quarter. there's a bigger one partially seen on the left, made by 8.5" square paper.

Aw! It's cute. Is it a flea?
The only origami I can do is those fortune teller things.

::sigh:: it's actually a crab... i know, it's not a very good picture. i wasn't thinking about it at the time. you gotta visualize rotating the thing a bit, then you should be able to see it's a crab... suddenly, i don't feel so good :frown:
It doesn't matter whether it looks like a crab or not, it's still badass and is definitely not something I could do. From that angle, it looks like some mean ass insect. But I definitely see the crab if it were rotated...

heeey! tweezers are cheating! i always fold origami by hand. sometimes i use thinner paper, but that was out of notebook paper. i'd like to use foils, but i always end up squashing them; too malleable.

the only things i can fold in origami are cranes, boxes, flowers, boats, airplanes, and robbins. I bought this neat origami bargain book that shows how to make a huge ornament with hundreds of origami stuck together, but i don't have the patience nor time for that yet. Origami rocks.

I wanna see it. I made one that was about five feet across from an architectural plan.

You must have way too much time on your hands to make something that big....
Hey bluemonq, thanks for sharing the pictures! I enjoyed seeing them.
How did your scavenger hunt go, by the way? And did you have the biggest crane?

exaaactly. it took me two hours to get a roll of 36" x 10 yds of busy bee artist brown draft paper (rough texture) to make this... the first hour and a half was just to make the goddamn square out of the roll. i'd do this more often if people would make the squares for me...
and >:^|, no, the scavenger hunt isn't over til friday evening. and we still don't have a stanford id and 5 tourist freebies, among other things...
