Yeah, it seems like she wants something to go down so she can go around complaining about it.
"Oh Bill (O'Reilly), it was so awful! Those America-hating race obsessed yellow liberals called me an idiot!"
sinisterpanda - Ms. Malkin wrote a book trying to justify the Japanese-American internment and how the practice should be applied to Arab-Americans as well. There should be a huge thread on it in Rant Room.

Throw melted butter on her. Not hot butter mind you, as it could sorch her skin and make her be more "white", but just enough so the flies start flocking to her like the trash she is. Oooh, the carnage.

i don't think i'm quite as activist as everyone else, but i'll be protesting outside wednesday night w/some student groups. we're all wearing white as a sign of peace, so if you'd like to join in, come on down!
As much as I would enjoy throwing a tomato at her, I believe she is most effectively bested through knowledge, presented reasonably and intelligently. It is absolutely shocking how many people are just swallowing her pap whole. In part, I believe, because it fits in with their world view.
Eric Muller has collected much of the facts against Malkin's weak argument here:
http://www.isthatlegal.org/
Anyway, Malkin seems a prideful sort, and hates being shown to be stupid. So educate yourselves, and show her for what she is.

Invited by the Republican Law Student's Association, Michelle Malkin will be at USC Law School tomorrow, Thursday, September 9, at 12.20 pm in Room 7 to promote her book.
Is anyone up for forming a last minute protest to meet her as she walks in the building?

Do whatever you deem fit with this information.I still can't get myself to sit still long enough to read a Malkin article off her website. However, I sat long enough to get an itinerary off it:
Borders Books in Puyallup, Washington. Friday Sep 10th at 7 pm. Sponsored by KVI radio.
American University. Monday, September 13th at 7:30 pm. Butler Board Room.
Johns Hopkins University. Wednesday, September 15th at 8 pm. Shriver Auditorium.

Commentary:
Please check out the Japanese American Citizens League response to Michelle Malkin's book at http://www.jacl.org/news_and_current_events/040824.html.
Malkin objects to political correctness, yet her book rallies behind it.
"In a recent Op-Ed piece, Malkin states, “Getting the history right is vital to informed debate about the proper balance between civil liberties and national security.” With this we would agree; however, history tells us that intolerance and bigotry played a devastating role in denying Japanese Americans their civil rights during World War II, and it is for this reason that the JACL will continue to be outspoken toward any policy that targets or profiles Arab and Muslim Americans or undermines the civil liberties of any American.
Unlike sixty years ago, when Japanese Americans had few proponents to defend their loyalty and speak up for the American values of fairness and equality, today many have reacted quickly and knowledgeably to Malkin’s outrageous claims. The JACL values and thanks all those individuals whose conscience will not abide distortions of history to suit a political agenda."
This isn't just a Japanese American reaction either.
In Hawaii, Malkin's article was followed with a commentary by Honolulu reporter David Foreman in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. http://starbulletin.com/2004/08/09/editorial/commentary.html

Malkin's visit sponsored by the California Patriot (http://www.berkeley.edu/news/in_news/archives/20040907.shtml)
4. Berkeley: Right-wing pundit aims for left's center
Backer of racial profiling to speak at UC
San Francisco Chronicle
Charles Burress, Chronicle Staff Writer
September 7, 2004
A political scorcher is forecast for UC BERKELEY Wednesday night.
Syndicated columnist and Fox News commentator Michelle Malkin, author of a provocative new book defending racial profiling and the internment of Japanese Americans in World War II, will bring her conservative crusade to what she views as the citadel of political correctness and sniveling, anti- American leftists.
She wants to go "mano-a-mano" against critics of conservative speakers, she told talk-show host Rush Limbaugh on Aug. 20. "It will be quite revealing to see how these acolytes in liberal education and liberal arts colleges treat me."...
Malkin's 7 p.m. appearance in 145 DWINELLE HALL is sponsored by the California Patriot, a conservative student magazine on campus. One of her past columns referred to UC Berkeley as "Sodom & Gomorrah U," while another was titled "Berkeley vs. America," and another referred to "the Manhattan-Berkeley- Hollywood Axis of Snivel."...
The California Patriot invited Malkin "because she's a great speaker and has lots of interesting things to say," said the magazine's managing editor, AMAURY GALLAIS, A JUNIOR....
[An op-ed by Michelle Malkin appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/09/05/INGKI8I2DA1.DTL&type=printable)]
.
You think she's gonna go mano-a-mano in a liberal sponsored joint?
There's coverage here:
http://www.dailycal.org/article.php?id=16037
The inconveniences of profiling should not be any reason to hinder national security, she said. Inconveniences are preferable to being “incinerated at an office desk by a flaming, hijacked plane,” she said, which elicited cheers from the audience.
As opposed to being incinerated at an office desk by a bomb blast (http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/okc/stories/overview.html).

Excellent find.
.
Malkin also said she should not be classified as a “right-wing pundit,” adding she is critical of the Bush administration's profiling measures.
“There are profiling measures already built into our laws ... that were not being implemented,” she said. “I think the Bush administration bears responsibility for these failures.”
So, there's a right way to profile and a wrong way to?

cheers? for profiling? way to play to people's fears malkin. yeah, if anything, oklahoma was an indication that "terrorism" is probably the most insiduous when it's perpetrated by people who do not look like the "other" or "enemy". i hope they learned their leason because it's not going be people of color who they (the conservatives) should be worried about.

I wouldn't be suprised, judging by the crowd/audience, it was well over 70% white. Not to say all white are conservative, but white checking her out have got to be leaning to right...........
