Do any of you guys have bad tempers that border on being embarrassing -- like you'll yell or scream like a bitch or punch walls or break furniture when you're pissed off or look around for fights at night?
Or is that just me, either when the Cowboys lose or when I can't watch Felicity?

i have a pretty good handle on my temper. i can go turbo bitch in about 2 seconds when someone pisses me off tho, and once i lose it theres no getting me back. what can i say? i can only take so much before sending a clear "FUCK OFF" message to the other person.
everyone gets angry at times, but guys with short tempers scare me. as for the looking around for fights thing, i dont think guys need to fight to prove how masculine they are, which i know a lot of people do. when guys get angry but manage to control themselves with some restraint it reallie impresses me.

I don't think it's out of proving their masculinity that some guys look around for fights. Sometimes, I think, there can be an ugliness to masculinity -- to want to release that anger or rage by hurting another person.

I have short tempers which i can't control sometimes...maybe its due to the fact i make the same mistake sometimes......
I don't apologize for the same mistakes i make alot.

I think I'm pretty much the same as Inkpainter.
I have a very short temper, but I could get so pissed off and still be smiling back at you. Lots of self control. Though it doesn't mean I go around acting happy all the time. I don't completely explode and destroy everything in sight (unless I'm alone; I punched a hole in the wall once... twice), but sometimes I just tell people to shove it. I find battle of wits more fun though. I find it funny when people get so pissed off at my calmness, and start belting out stupid things like "I hate this bitch! She's so stupid! Look! She's even agreeing with me! Look how stupid she is!"
But of course I don't take shit from people. Never.

heh. i thought that i was the only girl that ever punched a hole in the wall. i was fighting with my mom once in high school and punched a hole in the wall by our staircase. she didn't know how to cover it up. we were thinking of putting a display case there. =)

Yeah, both of the holes in the wall were caused by fights with my mom too. I have at least 1 or 2 fights a day with her. No less.

Kasia, does your mom work at the hs? thinking about putting a display case there sounds like you are at home...
Anyway, i got banned from this korean mall...lol, like i would be going back there anytime in the future...
I was grabbing this CD off the self and the metal bar in front of it fell and the other cds fell to the ground..somehow , i didn't know it hit a little boy and the father was yelling at me to apologize. Since my korean translations was bad, i didn't know what he meant. My aunt told him i was from the US and then out of no where....he told me to go fuckin learn korean more you traitor..so i got mad and punched him in the damn mouth. I was seperated by the mall security and got banned. Thank god my aunt was cool and didn't tell my mom about it. My aunt told them that she was my mom..

wow i didn't know that... i don't think i remember seeing it.
i have a problem with my temper... i never show it. i guess it just takes a lot to get me angry, cause i'm afraid of what might happen if i get really pissed off. if someone says something that's offensive to me, i don't really say anything and just let it piss me off for 20 minutes and then i eventually don't feel mad about it anymore. but i suppose that's sorta bad, cause i just bottle it up and don't say anything to anyone.
my brother, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. he has one of the shortest tempers i've ever seen... which is why we've gone through thirteen different nintendo/super nintendo/n64 controllers. when he gets pissed off, he'll put a hole in the wall or throw the controllers at the tv or the system. that's why all of our consoles are messed up too. and that's only video games!

Usually I am quiet and happy one moment, and the next I'll just EXPLODE and scream and yell and maybe even try to hit people (which usually causes more humor than hurt). The last time I got violent like that was when i was in 10th grade maybe? maybe a bit later.
But when I was little, like still elementary school age?, i got pissed cuz a lot of ppl in chinese summer school were picking on me, so i singled out this kid that i could actually take on and chased him through the hallway. He tried to duck into the principal's office as sanctuary but i just walked right in, dragged him outside the office and started to strangle me. Some people may misinterpret and call me a BULLY but I call myself practical--if everyone is being an asshole to me, might as well teach assholes who I can BEAT a lesson rather than fight stronger assholes who will just humiliate me more (I should mention i've almost always been unnaturally weak for my age).
Even tho that was a pretty fucked up incident, I wish I still had that kind of temper sometimes. Better than to be a bendover pussy.

its good to have a decent handle on ur temper cuz guys with a really bad temper get juss as little respect as guys with no spine.

I agree -- sometimes I feel like I suffer from both! Probably a little more from the bad temper though. I wasn't always like this, which leads me to believe that sometimes being ill-tempered or letting things spin out of control is definitely learned and habitual. You almost have to resolve that you're going to mentally keep you shit in check, and then it gets easier and easier after.

Still, I like my psycho side. Especially when I feel powerless, cuz it gives me a delusion that I once had this potential power I could release, like the incredible hulk. :)
too bad when I get pissed, i DONT develop super strength. I'd gladly take the green skin if i could. :)

hahaha. but arent people able to perform a lot more feats of strength when theyre angry or upset cuz of all the adrenaline?

that...and the ki rises. Ever watched Gohan in dbz? he's pretty weak usually but he goes NUTS when he gets pissed.
BTW one of my fave dbz scenes is when Gohan transforms into SSJII. Like goes completely silent and then SNAPS and gives it to Cell good. I think what makes that scene good is the tears sort of dripping but sort of flying off cuz of his ki and the really pissed off/sad look he has.

i'm usually pretty easy going about things 99% of the time. its the 1% of the time that gets pretty freaky. i can't control my anger, or a better term would be rage, when i lose it.

punching holes in walls huh?
next time you punch a hole in the wall, find where the stud is first and then hit. You'll learn pretty quick afterwards. Drywall is tough, but relatively light to medium strikes in a concentrated area will rip through the paper and destroy the sheetrock. Or better yet, hit a plaster wall.. that'll be fun because you can break through the first milimeter or so, but after that you have wood slates criss-crossed together, forming a pretty sturdy wall. And if you're even luckier, you can encounter a concrete type of plaster that's wrapped in chicken wire. Good luck trying to break those. Cutting that shit with a normal dry wall saw doesn't do shit! Even the sawzall had trouble going through all of that.

I get pissed easily sometimes, but I control myself very easily. I could be pissed as hell and still be able to smile and look normal. Which often pisses everybody else off if they're trying to get me angry. With my mom though, that's a different story. I'm openly temperamental when she angers me. She really knows how to push my buttons. -_-

I'm such a baby. I had the blinds drawn yesterday and in one of my daily tirades, threw a placard right at it, never thinking the window would break.

Although I consider myself a VERY patient person, I have the potential to be a silent "killer". :) If something I deem pisses me off, I use that energy to carry myself more gracefully and more intelligently than the other person. Being calm is one of the best ways to piss someone off if that's what the other party's trying to do to you. The words you use and the way you problem solve is your weapon. Throwing cuss words left and right at a person doesn't get you anywhere except tarnish your own integrity.
